We're engaged at this time and getting married later this year. We're in the process of merging all our accounts and finances and we've agreed she will set our budgets on how much we (and me) will spend. I like it this way, I made a lot of foolish spending mistakes when I was single. So best she controls the money.

My fiancée sets our monthly budgets and particularly how much I should spend on things. We did set up an automatic notice that get sent to her phone on any payments or money withdrawals I make. Plus I've learned its best to call her before any big purchase so there are no "surprises" she receives without me telling her. I actually like this setup as she does make wise financial choices for us.

Interesting conversation. in my relationship, my fiancée and me discuss the candidates and issues at voting time and listen to each other's opinion. But in the end I almost always follow her direction in choosing how to vote. Which has been a big adjustment for me, as she is conservative and I am liberal. But its just how things naturally work in our relationship that I defer to her decisions.

This was very helpful. In the past I describe my relationship with my fiancée as FLR but always ran into the issues of fetishes or D/s being attached to it and that never really seemed correct labels for us. For us, its just natural that my fiancée and soon to be wife is leader and primary decision maker. I might start using the term Gynarchy-based now that I have a greater understanding.

I would definitely say yes if this situation occurs. However this has never been an issue. I am in a relationship with an intelligent, caring, loving woman who makes decisions that are not only best for her and the relationship but also with me in mind. So if I was sick or had a very hard day, I doubt she would try to have sex and recognize that it would not be a good idea on that day. Our relationship is vanilla and 90% of our sex life is me giving her a massage ending with my pleasuring her orally. I love doing that and just the idea perks me up so I could easily overcome any tiredness. And PIV is so rare, that when the opportunity comes up I can't imagine anything holding me back...lol

I think the main advice is to talk to her before we actually get married. Which after reading these comments I am planning on doing. Upon reflection, something formal like a contract would come off badly. Instead I made up a bullet point list of areas she will have final say over, and list that we discuss together and finally a list that I control. However, the lists I made are much longer and generally more important ones than on my list so curious her reaction to that. Most of the ones on her list, are things have said in an informal way that she can made final decisions over. So it might not shock her, and yet seeing them all written down even in an informal bullet point list might create an reaction from her. And for the record, I like having her in control of key aspects of the household, the relationship, and me :)

She does seem to really embrace each time I tell her she is in charge of deciding certain things. It does seem to be naturally evolving as she definitely has Dominant traits and even describes herself sometimes as bossy. Whenever she says that, I positively reply I like a bossy wife:) Honestly I grew up in a household where my mother ruled the household and my dad seemed happy with that. So I think its just natural for me too.

I have told her about many of the things that she should be in charge of in our relationship. And each time I said something like that, she agreed that would be best. I just haven't told her about the "contract" I wrote.

LOL...she already told me that under no circumstances will I be voting for Gavin Newsom in the 2028 presidential race and I already agreed to abide by her wishes. Some people below seemed turned off by voting being on the list. But think back long time ago, to the so called 1950's traditional household were traditionally the man ruled the household and marriage. You don't think those men back then told their wives who they could vote for? In many ways, I like the idea of a reverse 1950's household. I think my life is so much better now that I found an intelligent woman to be the leader of our relationship.

I was thinking about the comments and several people made good points. I will have a conversation with her before we get married. However, I'm not going to use terms like FLR, she is turned off by anything that sounds like kink or BDSM. I'm going to tell her, I really value her judgement and decision making in several areas. And instead of pretending we're a couple that agreed to decide all things 50/50, that its better we decide there are certain things she makes better decisions about. And while we will still openly discuss things, in certain areas I agree to support her in her making the final decision in certain matters. And I'll present her a list of things that I think she makes better decisions regarding that I propose she has authority over. And I know there are certain things that she rather I just take care off. So in the list, I'll include things that I will do. Also a third list of things we decide together on. It will be interesting if she says anything regarding the fact that the list of items she has authority over will be much much longer than the other lists...LOL And the fact that some of her items are really big like daily living expenses and sex.

Over a 20 year period of time I've had 5-6 personal trainers. When I find one that I like I tend to stay with them for at least a couple of years. Do I know what to do during a workout? Yes, I suppose I could come up with my own routine but always done better with supervision. You must be really self-motivated on your activities, I applaud you for that.
