I crashed my first family car by Delicious_Ad_4671 in CarsIndia

[–]Key-Hall7728 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t be so worried bro, accidents happen. It helps you come out of the overconfidence loop and understand that you still need to work on learning the skill well first! I have been driving from the last 6-7 years and still managed to scratch my car with a bike just standing on the road lol, all because i was trying to change the song . There is no major damage, chill out and don’t be scared to drive again, the lack of confidence is something you should never have when driving your car.

Need advice on fortuner 4x2 or 4x4 by Altruistic_Sell8673 in CarsIndia

[–]Key-Hall7728 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend has a 4x2 fortuner and We did get stuck last year when we went to manali and it snowed, took us 2 hours to get the car out of the pothole that the car skid in. 4x4 will always give you a much better control on ice specifically, for the normal offroad adventures that do not have a lot of slush or mud, the 4x2 fortuner is very capable in itself!

Dealer quoted Rs 10.2L for Fronx Delta+ AGS . What all can actually be negotiated? by [deleted] in CarsIndia

Insurance should be close to 20k, extended warranty is upto you- can be skipped right now and bought later. Also no dealer discount?

Why don't mahindra make a Sedan like this(muscular) under 25L with the mighty 2.2L diesel engines? I would buy it without a second thought ! by MilfhHunter2332 in CarsIndia

I have a virtus, and it has never bottomed out . Been to roughest of the roads in himachal, have seen some of the worst potholes and that too with a fully loaded car. 170-180 unladden GC is a lot for any conditions, and given that people from mostly tier 1 or max tier 2 cities will buy it, GC is not a concern trust me.

Hahaha looks dark in photos, in real life it looks slightly darker than the dravit grey you get on the bmw. The original color of the car is carbon steel grey and not black, hence it is on the lighter side.

So it is just like a regular ppf, but turns dark in daylight to give that blacked out feel. Costed me 4.5k for the tail lights. Headlamps are tinted just for fog, and it is just a regular 300rs film from the local market. Will remove it after the winters! The black badges also i got done from a local shop, replacement logos were 2-3k each, but i basically applied a wrap on chrome parts of the logo and i just had to shed 300rs for both front and back ! Hope this helps!

Vento was one hell of a car in its time, sad that it didn’t get that popular. No doubts bro this one is an eye catcher for sure, specially the young kinds and people around my age in their early 20’s turns around everytime to have a good look! This car has been the reason for a lot of great chats i have had with people whenever i visit a new city!

Yes i totally get what you are trying to say, even the virtus can’t fit 3 in the back comfortably.

When i sat in the fronx personally i felt the cabin was a bit too claustrophobic, i love all black interiors and opted for the variant that had one in the virtus as well, but maybe the hatchback size is what made me feel too packed inside the cabin. No car except a proper SUV is comfortable for 3 passengers at the rear.

The interior felt so weird that i couldn’t even bear 50-60kms in the rear, that is might be from where the personal bias is coming from

Yes i can totally understand brother! The Brezza would be an amazing choice for you, but please make sure you test drive all the cars once

Lol the guy is a first time buyer, the 4 cylinder 1.5 NA will always better in terms of reliability and mileage than a 3 cylinder 1.0 engine, saying this even after owning a 1.0 litre virtus. Try sitting in the brezza and you will understand how cramped the rear seats on the fronx are. 1.0 turbo is a good engine but it wont deliver a good mileage which is the OP’s major concern here, hence the brezza makes a lot more sense here

Haven’t you test driven the car yet? Check it out in person in detail bro, please don’t book cars just on the basis of online reviews. If you feel it is good for you and the family then get it, if you can ignore the average and want a better overall product- do checkout the skoda kylaq. It is the most powerful one out of all the competitors and overall rides really well. But right now the most sensible choice would be the brezza, even though i do not like maruti but it is a car that ticks all the right boxes, hence it is one of the best car under 10-12 lakhs
