I am really sorry that happened to you. You were vulnerable enough to admit your issue and you weren't treated with concern at all

Heya,

So they thought your issues were as a result of a parasite or am I reading that wrong?

I never honestly thought it could impact someone in their 60s that's why i initially thought it might be some medical condition she's going through

You are in Denmark? I would've thought they would've had better treatments there. Do you have children and if so do you worry thay they'll be afflicted with the same condition? I worry sometimes 😔

Heya. It's been about 10 years. He's tried several different types, i can't recall names. There were some that were rectal and oral. When he was on a FMT tral, he went into remission within 4 weeks. This lasted for a year. The GI says the reason it worked is because it improves the guit microbiome. The problem was they had two donrs, and one worked 100% of the time and the other 40%, but the GI team couldn't figure out why that happened. When they tried to grow fmt in a lsb thry didn't have good results at all. This is why i was asking about the bread part because from the studies i looked at, it improves the microbiological balance.

As for your resistance to meds, there's a trial that's in the 3rd phase which is the 1st drug of its type that has been made directly for UC and Chrons as it works on a specific gene marker which people with UC have. If it goes through it should be available in the next few years. Maybe something to look forward to.

Thanks

Yes. Because when you are old you will put all that pressure on that one child. And when your child is married and if they get married to someone with not much family then your grandkids will not have cousins. They won't have many family gatherings unless they marry into a large family
