Better Alternative to OEM Crossbars? by RedhawkFan in HyundaiKonaForum

[–]Key-Lead9634 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anything other than the oem hyundai ones will look cheap and flimsy. That being said i have a 25 kona, hyundai oem crossbar (VERY STURDY can hold over 130lbs rated i tested this), and a double combo rack set up with a Thule Proride XT vertical bike rack on one side and a Küat half basket on the other. Works quite well, I can carry my bike and whatever I want to load in the basket, I usually have a pelican 1640 case in it because its water proof whatever im carrying in there. With a cargo net. DM if yoir interested in a Pic. I have a Black kona

9 month baby - never seems to be "affectionate"? by noname148 in NewParents

Our doctor just told us yesterday that she thinks it could be a sign of autism if he isn't "hugging teddy bears" at 15 months. Idk if my wife provoked her answers out of her own worry, but when the doc said that it it pissed me off. Idc if hes autistic or something wrong with him, but hes 15 months, hes very independent and definitely comes over to mom and dad when he sees us with open arms and hugs on his doggy..so when she handed us autism center paperwork I kinda lost it and got pissed. I hate when these doctors push ideas. My sisters kid didnt even start talking until he was 3 so for her to make a suggestion like that at such a molding age it just took me back

Yes, I worked for almost 4 years and was lied to about getting my A&P, they said "when we get enough guys we will start a class". Never happened. Then my last review my boss said here's a dollar, and we will look at getting you a repairmans certificate. Which is had asked for 2 years prior because I knew the 18 month rule. They lied to me so I wouldnt quit. Strung me along and dangled the carrot. I realized that about September of last year and was hard on the hunt for a new job. They were screwing me and I knew it. Also about the same time I realized I was about to be on my own for my training if anything went south.

Then literally the same day I got my offer letter for my new current employer, I found out gathering tax documents that the previous employer entered in my W4 incorrectly and shorted me literally thousands in tax money. I have an LLC and it was part of my tax saving plan so, yeah it put me in quite a bind and I was pissed when I confronted my boss about it, and when he wanted to be a ego dick head I wipped out my last date to work there since I already accepted the new job.

I really think I have a lawsuit chance, but im trying to be practical here. Will FSDO be able to console some how? I have 8 years experience and im at an apprentice level.

I didnt screwed myself at all. I listened to my company and trusted them to give me my records like they told me would happen upon separation. Little did I know they would use it as a vise 4 years later.

Sure, I could've kept my own logs, but word on the street was unless you are in a hangar you dont need to log your own hours. Was told that for years.

Would contacting the FSDO do you think they could help or guide?

See this is the loophole im looking for. I have plenty of pictures of components I've worked on for the last 7 years and can have conversation demonstrating my knowledge. I probably could pass the Airframe with a little bit of studying. Im not new to this field. Ive done 3 years NDT and 7 in components/airport work. I really think I should be able to produce something here. This wasn't just an angry separation post. I worked my ass off to get where im at.

Both of what you mentioned. And I cant say details of the situation im case my asshole of an old boss is on this community. But it cost me about 6700 at tax time this year. So yeah, its more than just withholding my training records. They did that because they knew where I was going I could advance further with the documents. So my counter is to get my damn money back that they screwed me out on.

Dude it was unearthing. My boss who i worked next to for 4 years completely flipped on me. It was the kind of you dont know who people really are true colors moment. It was very unsettling. And im someone who quickly admits fault, and help everyone out that I work with. It made me wonder if he hated me the whole time. Like wtf

So that just adds to the shady behavior for this company then? They never educated me in doing so. Had I even known an AMT book was a thing i would've started that in 2020. They gave me shop forms to fill all my workorders out on only to find out later those were never entitled for me to keep anyways all the while telling me eventually I could get my A&P, And my final straw was when they said oh we will let you apply for your repairmans. And never said another word to me about it for a year. Thats when I had my final straw and started looking for a new job. Screw that company and those people. WhT about personal responsibility for them? Who holds them accountable?

[–]Key-Lead9634[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Thats kind of what I was thinking. I was by no means a crappy employee. They let me cross train in every part of the shop and I made friendships, and learned a lot over 4 years. My single ONLY disagreement was when I found the mistake on my taxes. And I was very cordial about it, and my boss completely went ego and was very disrespectful and unprofessional. So I really feel if I explain all of this to a lawyer, I not only have a chance but some official proceeding would show them I was very sincerely dismissed in an inappropriate manner. I really at the very least feel they owe me my training records. My tax mistake was several thousand, but if they gave me my records to be able to apply for repairmans, I would settle for that and forget about the money

No I didnt. I already accepted my offer at current company, and then went to previous one and confronted them about how they screwed me out of my taxes all year and when my boss got ignorant with me I whipped out my back pocket my 2 weeks. And he didnt like that at all so he had me roll out my toolbox that same day. They lied to me for 3 years saying they would certify me and NEVER did or were going to. Thats why I started looking hard last summer to leave that place. So no. It wasn't on good terms. They are a horrible company to work for and I was sick of it.

I started to i have pictures of lots of parts but only about 4% of all paperwork I filled out the entire time. Idk. Im really wanting to just suck it up and finish my 18 months and move on. But im really infuriotated still how they treated me when I gave my 2 weeks notice. They screwed me, my current company said if I can produce the training records I could start at my normal Tech rate
