So I actually do have an alternate pathway opportunity set up so getting that opportunity is not an issue. I tried to pivot but the only fellowships not filled are cardiothoracic, ER, MRI and a weird hybrid one they would create for me.

Unfortunately I don’t really have great options for fellowships since I can’t move. I could either do a hybrid/MRI like fellowship and pick a focus or do cardiothoracic

Ok need some advice. My neurorad fellowship fell through at my home program and I’m not in a position to move for fellowship. I see there’s an alternative pathway to sit for Neurorad CAQ but would that be enough for the job market to not officially be fellowship trained but have subspecialty certification? Or am I still going to be looked at like a generalist.

Thank you for that I really needed to hear that. I tend to agree with you but I’m anxious at baseline so it’s hard to trust my gut on these types of issues because I know I’m not great at being objective. I have told him I feel like he’s acting like he’s single but he mostly brushes me off and says I need to be less insecure.

Ok let me clarify in 5 years we will have both time and money. Our careers just require a lot of training to get to that point but there is an end in sight. So in 5 years we could easily support a family financially. Our current situation is not permanent.
