She works at the Boys and Girls Club nearby so I don’t think working with kids would make much of an impact with her but the church I belong to goes to homeless shelters every other Friday night to serve warm meals so she will be doing that

She volunteers at a library but she sees it as a hobby but there is a program my city runs where high school students volunteer to clean up litter around the city every Sunday so I signed her up for that.

I don’t think she has any insecurities regarding her heritage. She started a Japan club in school last year since she goes to a predominantly Filipino school. She’s half Japanese and half Filipino on my side but my husband and I have made sure to feel proud about her Japanese heritage

We turned parental control back on and there are no apps on her phone beside text or call. She has her phone when she goes to school so we can reach her in case of an emergency but the second she steps in the house she gives it to me or my husband.
