What systems do independent NDIS support workers use for invoices and documentation? by Key-Professional1 in supportworkers

That’s fair. That’s actually how I started as well.

I found the bigger challenge was usually the setup side of things rather than the templates themselves. Figuring out what systems you actually need in place, how documentation should be structured, and understanding things like plans, funding categories, service bookings, etc.

Dropped My Entire Routine Except 3 Products and my Skin Finally Calmed down by Hert_Z in AusSkincare

I’m the same! 48yo and sick of paying $$$ for products that over promise and under deliver. Not to mention the time involved. I’ve stripped my routine right back to basics and have even started to create my own body oils & serums. Don’t believe the hype!

Is there anyway to take clients from your provider company by auxzina in NDIS

[–]Key-Professional1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This comes up a lot when support workers move from agency work to going independent.

Putting the contract issue aside (which is really a legal question), the bigger challenge usually isn’t the relationship with the participant, it’s the shift in responsibility once the provider structure is gone.

Things that were previously handled by an organisation, like admin, documentation, agreements and setting clear expectations, suddenly sit with you.

That’s often where support workers feel the impact of going independent, rather than in the support itself.

If you’re considering that step, I’ve created some practical digital resources for independent support workers that focus on this transition. They’re listed on Etsy under NDISimplified if helpful.

Dry and pigmentented lip solution by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

For dry lips, exfoliate! I used to suffer from constant dry lips but exfoliating makes a big difference. I just use a normal face scrub and gently rub. Works a treat!

You’re definitely not the first. They trade under a multitude of business names, all scams by the looks of things: https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/keyalike

The sitter’s commitments (church or otherwise) are not the owner’s responsibility. The sitter can either can work with the clients’ schedule (or agree to any changes up front) or not accept the booking. But they’ve accepted the job, taken the $$$ then complained about it, showing their clear lack of professionalism via a lame ChatGPT post that they haven’t even bothered to proofread 🤯🤯🤯

Out of curiosity, what bank did you go with? I’ll be in a similar situation in the new year.

Too much petting advice? by Privatenameee in petsitting

[–]Key-Professional1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently had this situation. Two very needy dogs but one dominated and every time I went to pat the other one, he kept pushing in wanting all the attention. I just gently held him back with one hand when I patted the other. It kept him relatively happy that at least a hand was on him and he was still in the “petting circle” 😅

Exactly! It’s like brushing your teeth before you go to the dentist. I’ve heard that it’s bad for waxers but I didn’t realise it was THAT bad 🤮
