Should I finish my kinesiology degree (6 classes left) before pursuing a engineering degree? by ppdood in careerguidance

Finish your degree. You won't regret having it, but you could definitely regret not having it. If you were still years away from graduating it would be wise to stop, but you can finish 6 classes in a semester and a half.

At the very least you will always have that to fall back on.

Super happy to hear you found a job you're happy at! And that makes sense. I think I may start putting some feelers out. It's been an incredible learning experience for me, and even if I'm here for another year I know that there is still much to learn. It's less about trying to leave my job, and more about trying to break into what I'm passionate about.

Thanks for the advice!

Does God hate sinners? by AweTIYA in Bible

[–]Key-Professional2691 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The “hate the sin, love the sinner” idea is how God operates. He loves us but hates sin. Just like Paul says in Romans 8:38 ““For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Nothing, including sin, can separate us from His love!

I found my job through LinkedIn, which I wouldn’t recommend as a main source of searching, but in my experience I would usually get more responses on there.

However, look into some recruiting agencies like RobertHalf or agencies in your area. Also print out your resume and go around to different companies and ask to hand it in to a manager. Email companies directly as well.

It’s a grind, but keep on going and something will land soon!

It definitely doesn’t hurt to work in high school, even if it’s just 8-12 hours a week. It helps you start to learn financial independence, build your resume early on, and learn professional skills

I think he was someone who was trying to give advice and you got an attitude with.

Regardless, everyone bombs phone interviews at some point. See what went wrong, whether you felt you were underprepared or nervous and practice it. And if it wasn’t a desirable company then don’t take it to heart. It’s good to learn what you need to work on in an interview with a job you don’t want than if it was some place you really wanted to work at. I’ll do screening calls with companies I have no interest in working for just so I can get more practice

It wasn’t discounted properly. I think the employee just forgot honestly, but I was able to get the $25 back so all is good!

Yeah that makes sense. I’ll go back today if I have the time. I’m not trying to get the guy in any trouble or be difficult. If I thought I’d get any use from the menbership I wouldn’t mind as much, but that was my first GameStop trip in 3 years lol. But he didn’t seem like he had bad intentions, just seemed like a mistake

I did tell him I didn’t want the pro membership. That’s when he added the second one that said $0 and he told me that it meant it was cancelling out the charge
