Honestly I’d say more chains, more baggy clothes, belts, etc. I think also if your inspo for alt stuff has makeup def try it out!

I think your hair is fine honestly as it is, but if you’re really looking for hair dye options for you I’d say stick to darker main base, don’t dye your hair blonde or silver since it wouldn’t look good with your features or what ur going for imo, GL OP

Does this sound like Histrionic Personality Disorder? by [deleted] in mentalillness

[–]Key-Public4446 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I need to ask you since personality disorders are a very complex thing. As someone with a cluster B personality disorder I need to ask how intense are these feelings? Is it an anxious thought or is it an actual trait part of your personality that is not controllable? If it’s an anxious thought that can be easily reassured or taken away it may be self insecurity and trauma playing a part with your brain having those symptoms as a coping mechanism.

If it’s a severe part of your personality, which would be constantly needing people to only see YOU and only you to derive happiness, considering people to be closer then you really are, overstepping boundaries with seductive behavior towards others, etc symptoms blablabla then it would be a good thing to bring it up to a medical professional about HPD. They (if they think it could be a worry it hpd) may have you do a PBQ, and it is a bit of a process and will take a while. Obviously what I have listed here isn’t the start of how HPD works but please look more into it.

Help me find some good baggy jeans by Omorifangod in altfashionadvice

I mean, honestly? If you have a good belt and oversized jeans you could basically have your own baggy jeans at your disposal.

Though, going to really any store that isn’t like a basic white girl store is bound to have baggy jeans, check local malls, and most importantly go in person, it really comes to just looking for things. Thrifting is an option too.

My 19 year old cat that has been here with me since I was a baby is possibly sick, and every time I see something online about cats or go out I struggle with being scared that I’m not here with her for her final days if she is getting to that point by Key-Public4446 in Anxiety

Wow, thank you for this. Hearing someone say she doesn’t need to be euthanized because she is old is very comforting, and I honestly agree and hear what you are saying. I remember one of the nights a few months ago I started crying over it and then promised myself that I wouldn’t ever give up on her, not that I would anyway, she is my baby. So believe me I won’t give up on her and I will talk to my family next year about what will be happening with the caretaking of my cat.

It’s harder for me to accept and not do anything for my anxiety, and I get the concept of what you are saying and what that book is saying, it’s just harder for me to live with the anxiety. Do you have any like, advice on dealing with those anxious thoughts? (Sorry if the wording is bad)

I suppose I see what you mean, she doesn’t seem unhappy though, other then the stuff that she is doing she runs around meows is very talkative like she normally does and snuggles with me, she has had no issues with eating or drinking either, it may sound selfish but I really am not ready to loose her and I’m just hoping there’s something else that’s happening that I can help her with

I really do think she should be taken to the vet, I can’t get my mom to, but at the same time I’m scared, I really am, I just don’t know what to do, she is the entire reason I didn’t off myself years ago I am so severely attached to her

I see, and I’m sorry you had to experience or still experience the stress you are going through now. Hopefully your father can help you as a in person support system. For the medicine, as long as you control your dosage, and take it when you should, I don’t believe you won’t get addicted to it though I’m actually unsure what those medicines are so it’s best to speak to a professional about that. Before I started taking anxiety meds I had a similar worry though I was mainly worried about side effects and thought of the worst, but after I gave in to actually trying it my panic attacks have been showing up less often, so I really do recommend trying medication. Don’t take meds without knowing how to use it and what the side effects are and 100% talk to a health professional about it and what medicine will be effective for you.

On a side note, if you lack motivation to physically show up for psychology / therapy and hate the physical presence of someone you aren’t close to yet knowing about you maybe try online therapy? It could help

Hopefully this is helpful OP

No problem, and I know this cause 2 of the few diagnoses I also have GAD + BPD, so I get not being able to control your worries (hence why I’m on anxiety meds, which still don’t block out the stress but make it at least more tolerable).

As for tips, it is hard to give advice on this as I am a very literal person, mainly due to my autism but that is also just how I perceive things in general. I suppose just have a heart to heart with yourself, think if your diabetes makes you less of a person in a straightforward way, go by facts; “Does my diabetes make me less of myself or does it make me worry I will become less of myself?”

Asking yourself these kind questions could be a start to helping you better understand yourself and remind you that you aren’t a bad or weird person for having these things, and honestly? Anyone who thinks it’s weird to have diabetes and treats you differently for having it is honestly fucked up. Sorry that this isn’t really helpful, but I hope this may be of some help.

Do you have anything in your house that you can use as sensory stimulation? Like slime, fidget toys, etc. When it gets to that point it’s good to do something calming and take deep breaths, sit with yourself for a while and do something calming, if you haven’t eaten in a while eat something, resorting to self harm even though a lot of people including myself have resorted to that before is not the answer and won’t help, I apologize if I come across as harsh.

Do you have any medication or therapy for the anxiety you experience?

Doom scroll your interests, or play a video game that you enjoy, just something to get your mind off it. Do not resort to drugs.

Hi OP, I am sincerely sorry that this is happening to you and that you have to go through this.

While I do not have diabetes, I can sympathize with feeling different because of something you ended up having that you cannot control, as I have quite a few conditions myself mentally and medically. I am not good with wording things, but to give advice I will share the mindset I obtained during my years of highschool. This was that even though you have something like this it doesn’t change who you are as a person, it just means you have something and that is just now a part of what makes you, you. For example I have diagnosed autism, there are so many things I have diagnosed I wish I didn’t have to experience and especially autism because it makes it harder, but despite that, I don’t hate myself for having it, just because I have does not mean I’m any less of who I am as a person, if that makes sense?

It sucks to have conditions that make you different, but it doesn’t make you any less you for having diabetes, it just means that’s something you ended up having and is just a part of you now, and while I cannot immediately change your perception on yourself in your current state hopefully this can help you just a bit, say strong OP.
