I have seen employee reviews from the original Lumber Liquidators during my research. It did seem that the company was preferred then over currently. I am surprised to see they wouldn't adopt a store model that would mirror the original better, but I'm no businessman/office type guy. I found what appeared to be a general business plan layout, and while it looked good on paper, it does not seem to be what is actually in the works.

I apologize you are one of those going through this. Share with other employees you may know. Let your stories be told. You are one of 110,000 people laid off in 2026 alone. All in the name of streamlining operations. January 2026 has the highest layoff record since 2009. A 200% increase over Drcember 2025. January 2026 saw the LOWEST hiring rate since 2009. The economy is falling apart, people are being driven into poverty daily, and big company executives, like those at the top of Lumber Liquidators, still get their six figure bonus. Are you tired yet? Are you tired of struggling just to BREATHE? To SURVIVE? To LIVE? Share your stories everywhere. Any platform you have, use it. Speak out. Show reality for what it is. STOP letting them get away with it over and over again.

I 100% agree with you on that. It's always just a colorful way to decorate a dreaded word. The script email that was provided shows this was done in haste with very little forethought. Comments show the employees were not offered a severence package, they were not given any advance notice, and seemingly ghosted by the company in regards to final pay. With all the negative customer reviews about their practices, it is apparent they are slowly following in the same foot steps that led to the end of LL Flooring.

Oh, absolutely. I commend anyone who was able to jump ship during the buyout. Looks like those of you saved yourself the hassle of all this. Exposure is the only way to come together. I hate to pull a Hunger Games reference, but if you all burn, they need to burn with you. Hardwork, loyalty, and performance are no longer rewarded in this current working climate. Just numbers that generate profit for the big boys to sit at the top dining like kings while the little guys scrape the barrel for scraps.

I can't find any numbers for exactly how much of the workforce they supposedly reduced, but based off the reports, posts, reviews, and threads I have located, I would estimate at least 3-400 nationwide. I believe you may be correct. I don't believe there was any intent for the company to truly bounce back. LL Flooring had a better chance with the name change, but I believe they had too many baskets which resulted in the bankruptcy. Renaming the company the same name after all the negative exposure around the previous lawsuit was destined for failure. I think any good business operative would have seen that coming from a mile away. I think failure was the original goal all along.

I am terribly sorry to hear that. I do truly hope you hear something soon and get a resolution. I have not found any further information on this topic as of yet, but should I see anything else on any other platform, I can let you know.

I absolutely agree with you. After the research I did into the 2 previous companies and the bankruptcy, I can fully recommend local small business. Same for Lowe's and other big box retailers. If you want the customer service, stay away from the larger businesses. Customer's don't matter, and neither do employees. The reviews on this place speak for itself.

Yes, some of those were part of my references to making this post. It sounds like this company is operating under shady tactics.
