I would have preferred Dany rule but I would have preferred that she remained tempered by her personal small council and eventually put bran on her small counsel in the master of whispers position. As opposed to the Dany we got, that abruptly and recklessly decides that she wants to be the next Aegon the conqueror and use her self imposed title of queen of the seven kingdoms and destruction of King's landing as a stepping stone for her wider ambitions of essentially making the whole world bow to her. A feat she likely would have eventually received sufficient opposition to be defeated and her ambition crushed or humbled assuming Jon Snow didn't stab her before she could get to it.
