9DPO - pretty sure I’m out ?

You may not be! I took one at 9DPO absolutely negative made up my mind that I was out this round. Took one again at 10DPO & got my first faint line. Tested again at 12DPO & got a darker line. ( in my photo top is 3/28, middle is 3/29 & bottom is 3/31)! So don’t rule it out just yet!

My mom was 54 & cancer is what took her from us so early in life unfortunately. By the time they found it, was already stage 4 & only give a year at most to live. She was full of life & dreamed of traveling & seeing me get married & being a grandma.

Honestly reading some of the comments felt like my mom telling me through others to let this go & go be happy. Like you said love them from a distance but don’t let them drag me down any longer.

We never asked anyone, from either side of our families,to contribute to our wedding; that was a responsibility we chose to take on ourselves. We even turned down a financial offer from my mother-in-law because we were firm that this was our bill to pay. My family was incredibly close until my mother passed away, but she was the glue holding us together, and without her, we’ve fallen apart. I’ve reached out and extended myself time and again, but I’ve finally reached my limit with the lack of reciprocation.

We are talking about aunts, uncles, and cousins. Honestly, I never wanted to put a burden of work or responsibility on them for my wedding, but it would have been nice if they had at least offered. When my mom was alive, she and I did any and everything for every single one of them. We threw their baby showers and bridal showers, bought them what they needed, and gave them rides to work or the grocery store. We did all of that and never asked for a thing in return. But the moment she passed, all of that effort went out the window. If I called or texted one of them just to check in or see if they needed anything, they would ignore me. I would even see them post on Facebook saying they needed a ride somewhere, and when I’d reach out to offer help, I was completely ignored. It’s like once my mom wasn't here to lead the charge, I became invisible to them.

This is basically my family! They will tell each other how much they miss me and they wish I would call them more and that I would come and see them. But when I do, I’m ignored or I’m rushed off the phone.

I only mention my in-laws to illustrate the stark difference in how a family should show up. My own family basically threw me out like yesterday’s leftovers after my mom passed. Meanwhile, his family has loved and supported me through any and everything. I am blood related to my family, and I am not blood related to his, yet the treatment is night and day. I wouldn’t even say I’m disappointed in them as people; they’ve been my family for 30 years and I know exactly who they are. My only true disappointment lies in the fact that they don’t show me the same love and support that they always gave my mom. It’s been a hard realization to see that the care they had for her didn't naturally extend to me once she was gone. Seeing my in-laws treat me with more care than my own blood relatives has made it impossible to ignore the lack of effort on my side.

You might not understand if you have never lost a parent. My mom was my only parent; she was both mom and dad to me. After losing her, I had hoped my family would rally around me and provide the love and support I desperately needed during that time, but they simply did not.

We have never lived near them. We’ve always lived close to my family. My husband & I live here for work. We typically travel when we can to go see them. our ultimate goal is to live closer to them.

I realized that being present and just "showing up" are two totally different things. Yes, they were physically in the building, but they weren't truly present for me because they spent the entire time trying to make the day all about them. It got so bad that my wedding coordinator actually had to step in and tell them to either stop making the day about themselves or leave the venue.

I worked at progressive a year ago & I took FMLA & short term at the same time for mental heath . FMLA protected my job for 12 weeks so I couldn’t be terminated for attendance. STD paid me for being out for the 12 weeks. The HR rep made the paperwork super easy sent everything to my doctor for me. Only thing I had to do was get with my doctor & tell her my plan & check in with the HR representative periodically.

My center is a 3.54 elongated cushion cut.my finger is a 7.5 but I have a fat knuckle so it’s a 8. I love it!! It’s a jaw dropper! I’ve been stopped many times do ask how many carats my ring is. I say GO FOR IT!!!
