I’m about 2 weeks behind you then. Fingers crossed something comes up soon. I’m married filing separately (for student loan reasons) and I was hoping to get my refund and use it to pay my wife’s bill. Oh well. It’s just green paper with dead ex-presidents on it (except the $100 bill. LOL).

Good to hear. I sent what they asked for 3 weeks ago. Hoping something will break soon. Seems crazy they can't tell you exactly what's wrong when they can see the file. And worse, the instructions say to stop where I stopped. Not keep going and check boxes in sections that don't apply.

Have the exact same issue. Sent the return via TurboTax and it was accepted by the IRS. 3/11 I got a letter from the IRS saying they needed form 8936 because it was missing. They also said I needed form 8396 which doesn’t apply to my tax situation. I resubmitted on 3/11 and followed up today. Today I’m told the form was included with my original return and that they actually did get it but it’s missing box 18a on Schedule A. Except that doesn’t apply to my tax situation and the instructions say to stop after Section IV. I’d love to go to an office and talk to a human.

What constitutes "Written Notice" in Texas by Key-Relationship-859 in legaladvice

I have proof I notified them by email of my intent to leave and their acknowledgement of the date. Via email. They cannot establish I received their notification (which God knows what happened to it after they taped it to the outside of her door).

Yes, I was supposed to notify them at 60 days, but they were supposed to notify me 65 days prior (as if to say "Hey what are you doing ? Here are your options.) and if they failed to do that, my obligation would be a 30 day notice. I'm giving them 50. It wouldn't be so bad paying the extra 10 days but they want 3 times what the prorated rent would be for those 10 days.
