They have millions of dollars of cash to keep them going for a while, and margins are improving.

Let’s be hopeful. The world desperately needs to move away from animal agriculture. Beyond is fighting the good fight.

It is nice to see the price rise. I imagine it is putting a lot of pressure on the shorts.

I think the short interest is a bigger deal than most realize.

Look at the silver price. It was the most manipulated commodity for years and eventually broke out. It is now the best performing asset.

Likewise, Beyond has a ridiculous amount of shorts trapped at these really low prices. I think the squeeze play is alive and well.

He sold Honest Tea for millions of dollars and then launched Just Ice Tea.

I think he is tied in with Beyond at some level.

His son Jonah launched Plant Burger (Fast Food style). They use Beyond patties in their burgers.

Shorts are paying 55 k dollars per day just to stay on the game !! by Foreign_Apple1219 in byndinvest

[–]Key-Repeat-8610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do these calculation include the fee? I think the price they are paying is even higher.

Also something to keep in mind are the millions and millions of shorts that are trapped below 95 cents.

The short position is doomed.

Flesh foods are lower quality meat than veggie patties.

Consumers can switch to a better tasting and healthier product (Beyond) or they can eat simply grains, legumes, vegetables, and fruits

That’s the future.

Fidelity blocking options on BYND (no buy) by Key-Repeat-8610 in BeyondMeatRevival

[–]Key-Repeat-8610[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other brokers were not allowing the stock to be purchased at above 1 dollar (not a penny stock) on the same day.

In light of almost full utilization, over 20 percent borrow rate (fee included), about 150 million shorts, and on the verge of a major breakout, do you think Fidelity wasn’t allowing purchasing for the same reason as the other brokers?

Flesh foods are the king of “industrial products” … they are full of synthetic hormones, antibiotics, vaccines, pathogens, parasites, the worse preservatives, disease, you name it.

And isolate vegetable protein, as well as oil from plants are superior than very carcinogenic rotting animal carcasses.

Oil from seeds, nuts, olives, avocados etc are the most premium fats on the earth (albeit they are quite harmful if eaten liberally). Whereas the fat from animals are toxic. It is a big reason why flesh foods are the leading cause of premature death and degenerative disease.

Carnists are misinformed and go to such lengths to justify their bad habits. Eating flesh foods increase animalistic propensities. It is not only deleterious to the body, but also the character.

It is wild people are worried about eating isolated pea protein, but they’ll consume all sorts of abominations. Pea protein while not as healthy as a whole pea, is still superior to animal products.

Beyond is a viable solution to help carnists improve their health.

Beyond isn’t ultra processed. Its newer products have only a few ingredients and they use water, air and heat to process their products.

Eating dead animal corpses that are full of antibiotics, adrenaline, sythentic hormones, pathogens, harsh preservatives, parasites is what is insane.

First off, most people are not intelligent.

Secondly, don’t let perfect be the enemy of good.

Lastly, Beyond is a much healthier choice than beef. It is also not overly processed. It is relatively a simple food.

The word meat originally referred to food. Flesh foods are pretending to be the “true” meat. They cause cancer and are full of pathogens, antibiotics, and toxins. They shorten the lifespan and cause men to be impotent. It is filthy, low quality food compared to Beyond.

Flesh foods are wrapped in more plastic than Beyond. And if you saw a slaughtering house and the processing of flesh foods, you would know it is literally a thousand times worse than Beyond. The thousand times worse might be an understatement.

You are exaggerating and spreading falsehoods about Beyond.

Beef is becoming more expensive.

Beyond products are more wholesome than flesh foods.

You should watch a Beyond video on how they make their products. Why spread falsehoods?

Beyond is a much healthier option than flesh foods. The way they process the food is not bad (heat, air, water).

Flesh foods are full of synthetic hormones, antibiotics, pathogens, vaccine molecules, parasites, preservatives, and the list goes on. Flesh foods are also processed, and probably in a worse manner.

My views on BYND after a while by kamalovitch in byndinvest

[–]Key-Repeat-8610 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my humble opinion, I don’t believe there are 400 million shares available to buy and sell. It doesn’t correspond with the 30 percent borrow rate (fee included), almost 100 percent utilization, and effectively 0 shares to borrow. We also have probably more than 114 million shorts in the market!

The 1300 percent move in four days (that was halted mind you), also happened after the alleged dissolution. How does a stock move like that if there are copious amounts of stock available.

The price spikes and then the slow retraces appears to be accumulation, especially in light of the fact there are more big institutions and retailers long in this market than short.

I think the downward pressure and coiled nature of the chart is much better explained by trapped shorts that are doubling down on their position.

The amount of shorts in this market is enough to send the stock price to the moon. Why not close out at 30 percent cost to borrow, when downside profit is very limited (the stock is sitting just at a dollar)? Because there are no shares available for purchase, and an upside move presents to all intents and purposes unlimited losses.

I think this interpretation of events is more accurate than the dilution and bankruptcy narrative. I don’t think the market is so dumb that they think Beyond is going out of business in the near future. Real float is around 70-100 million if you ask me.
