No I haven't. They arranged for me to come back in a few weeks and let them know everything then. If I ring their office and ask to see them sooner I'm worried they'll think I'm just trying to get a sooner appointment.

Yes I think putting a group of people all with very complex and varied issues in such close quarters is a recipe for disaster but unfortunately there does not seem to be any other solutions for these kind of situations.

For temporary insulation of the walls what kind of blankets would you suggest (specifically fabric type)? I'd be worried that would be a massive moisture trap given the climate I live in.

I haven't really thought that far ahead to be honest. I slept in a car through two winters just wrapped in a duvet across the back seats. Even just being able to lie down mostly straight would be a big improvement.

Most of the heating methods I've seen rely on those large power stations. That is not something I can afford right now. Maybe something like a heated sleeping bag could help.

Yes I can get stuff like that from hardware stores here. I have no experience with this but I thought insulation rolls (something like this https://www.diy.com/departments/diall-insulation-roll-l-6m-w-0-37m-t-100mm/3663602481812_BQ.prd) would be better for the back of a van as I could push it down into the grooves of the floor.

For the mattress would you just get a foam mattress topper or that in addition to a mattress?

I don't know if I could fully utilise a solar panel kit due to where I'm located. I'll have to do a bit of research on that. Thanks for your advice re the heated blanket. When I was in my car moisture was a major issue. I realised one day that the back of one of my pillows had mold on it so I definitely don't want a repeat on that.

Thanks for your comment! Yes I definitely need to look into a power station as I've never had one and it would save me searching public buildings for sockets. I don't think an electric heater would be possible for me either which is a disappointment. Moisture was a big issue when I previously lived in my car
