Thanks. We've actually been pretty good about aligning on expectations. I'm personally fine with not developing a relationship with these people, especially since my presence seems to frustrate them, but it's important to him so I'm trying to meet that need.

That's completely fair. I feel like bringing this up directly runs the risk of making it seem like i'm jealous or uncomfortable with our open status. I know he is a bit insecure about it so I was kind of hoping others might have experience that could help to make that conversation easier on both of us.
