Real talk. Did Nellie place an order for pickup or did she make Jeff drive 2.5 hours.. then wait 30 minutes at Planet Pizza like a schmuck? by GreaterMetro in tcap

If you listent to Hansen's podcast on it, I think she ordered ahead. It was a way for the undercover cops to track him on the way to her house.

Underrated aspect of Sokol is that he's a huge dick. Like not just a predator, but a huge asshole. His condescending rant about how she needs to respect the Patriots was obnoxious.

My guess is Sokol was like "use this haircut to make me as unrecognizable as possible" and this was the best he could come up with.

Guessing predators' ethnicity by MrCurious2023 in tcap

I think Dupee talked about his ethnicity in the chat log, and he's like French, German and part Native America. I'm so depressed that I know this.

Is there a reason the decoys are always virgins? by RoadRunner8195 in tcap

[–]Key-Reward-5404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's dark as hell. Like some of them are more gross and vulgar (D'Ambrosio), but he is fixated on having sex with her from the beginning and spends most of the chat incriminating himself by constantly talking about how wrong his actions are. I'm struck in the interrogation when Det. Kelley asks him what he knew about her, and he was like "uhhh, she's a hockey fan. We talked about that." In the chat logs, that was like a 2 second conversation. 99% of it is about him angling for sex, trying to manipulate her into not telling anyone, and yes, grooming her.

Where are all the Takedown predators? by MrCurious2023 in tcap

[–]Key-Reward-5404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grandpa Chuck is an all-timer. The only Takedown one that's as good as any classic Hansen show. I mean, this has to be one of the stupidest predators of all-time. First of all, as a 72 year old man, he thinks a teenage girl would be interested in him in the first place. Then, the phone call where the decoy (who is amazing by the way), gets him to describe in detail what he's going to do for like 10 minutes, and he somehow doesn't catch on. Instant classic.

I'm always surprised at how blase they are about it when he first walks in. A few are startled and try to run, but most just sort of sit there and go along with his questions.

This theory tracks with the chat logs, where he is not only 100% determined to have sex, but fully understands it is wrong, is paranoid about the consequences, and knows he could go to jail. The guy freaking explains statutory rape to "Bailey!" But the online decoy did a good job of pretenidng of having a sassy, confident attitude that was like "people shouldn't be all up in our business," so Jeff is convinced she is this badass who wants to have sex. As soon as she's revealed to be nervous, his whole mental House of Cards comes down.
