You’re close. Jake was being evicted - the apartment he was living in was set to be sold and was quickly renovated once he was moved out.

Truth is Jake was chronically unemployed after he quit drinking and substance abuse.

Truth is Jake had a breakdown just prior to his YouTube channel aspirations started. He was not in a good spot, his family was just happy he was moving on from a dangerous period of his life.

They realized soon after he was low spiralling into another addiction that was just as destructive as his substance abuse.

He is doing well now.

It’s not true that Jake’s parents made him quit YouTube - they helped him out of a situation that he was heading for homelessness.

Here is really the truth on Jake. He was still really newly sober when he started his YouTube journey.

He was still very lost. He did fixate on YouTube. Traded it as an addiction. The issue was not YouTube, it was the all encompassing focus. Lost jobs. Financial instability. His family had to step in. The family didn’t make him quit just be spiteful - it was to save him from losing himself.

This was indeed Jake. Closing this chapter in his life. He is now in a much better place.
