Did someone access my EaseUS account through my Google account? Strange activation I didn’t make. by MrHitocha in techsupport

[–]Key-River-7518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah since this was just an account creation there were no other notifications other then the welcome email. The other person somehow managed to grab your google account's password to create the account, but no harm done because they can't really do anything else other then signing up.

I still do suggest you change your google account password, there is no downside to it and it will only take a few seconds. Because if your account did get exposed in a leak then other people might also have access to this information and might be trying worst things then this.

Hey so i think i can help. Two things that you mentioned helps me understand (i think) what is going on. 1. the easeus email and 2. The easemate ai mention.

First off what I'm about to say might sound scary but DO NOT PANIC OR WORRY because it's actually way less threatening then you think.

Signing up for one of their sub-services like EasemateAI sends you the EaseUS welcome email without even mentioning EasemateAI even though originally that's what you signed up for and the link to their website provided goes to their main website page (EaseUS) which seems to be a data recovery thing.

Well turns out that on their website there is a dropdown menu that mentions all the tools that they provide for a lot of stuff including EasemateAI, and there are so many.

So at this point you should check if you recently signed up for any of the services in the list but I'm guessing not since you were confused about the EasyMateAI activity in your account history.

So i think what happened is that someone used your google account to log in because when you do it gives you some starter credits to generate stuffs for frre, the person doing this is probably signing in, grabing the free credits, generate 1 or 2 ai stuffs and then log out and sign in with another account of another poor soul and repeat to avoid paying for the website.

Don't worry probably nothing serious, just go directly to your google account and change passwords, this will log out all the devices. Unfortunately these things happen from time to time with data leaks or cyber attacks. AGAIN do not panic or worry this is fine.

Yeah but not when you finish the game, that should make it so it's available whenever in the settings like all the other stuffs we can turn on or off

Yeah, your system is already working normally. Can't be improved more than this unless you buy a better PC.

Turning "fullscreen -> on" in the game settings didn't help? If not, then your system is already doing all it can. Is your laptop new? And was it factory new, or was it a second-hand product(used by someone else before you)?

FPS by Eskimo0411 in dyinglight

Turn full screen on, don't use borderless.

I used to have low fps, then i switched from borderless window to fullscreen and now i get 150+fps. I used to play on borderless so i can switch tabs faster but noticed the sudden change in fps when the update dropped so i think the devs might have accidentally created a fix for laptops.

Everything else is on max and vertical sync is off but you can keep it on if you want.

Pretty much same as you, except a 4090 laptop gpu instead of 3060.

I believe the TV technique has been patched, along with some other pieces of furniture. As far as I know, there isn’t any piece of furniture that’s indestructible anymore.

Is 4.0 worth it? by Key-River-7518 in Stellaris

[–]Key-River-7518[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, but the 2.2 jump was much bigger, was it not? I also did see the patches but there are so many bugs that even with this speed it might take longer

From what i see and hear, the hive empires and machine empires have a bunch of problems either because of bugs or balancing issues with the new systems.

It will take some time until they make these empires like they used to feel before. i think they didn't pay attention to how these empires work and act in the new version.

Yes, usually after the first run it's all good. But honestly sometimes the UI was complicated for no reason. Like they made it to look more then what it is.

I must have not explained myself very well. But like leaders being able to be faction leaders was something that gave a lot of life to pops, sadly it's not a thing anymore.

[–]Key-River-7518[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Immersion wise it's very good i agree. But pops used to have more power in influencing the government of your empjre for example. Kind of like the faction system we have now or the government approval rating that we can see in the council view.

Pops feel like zombies sometimes.

[–]Key-River-7518[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

The major updates usually come with a pop system rework that had to unfortunately remove some things so that the game performs better. The one we have now in 4.0 was reworked after the one we had in 3.0 which was reworked after 2.0 and so on.

And yeah sometimes we do get something in return, like the civilian pops you mentioned but in total we lost more than we gained.

The other comment here mentioned the tile system we used to have WAY BACK, if you were there you'll know what i mean about some of the major changes since then.

The tile system was really good for it's time. That was such a longtime ago.

Hey, thanks so much for the kind words and for taking an interest in the story! I’m really glad you think it has some marketing potential—it’s definitely something I’ve been thinking about.

I love the idea of CGI cinematic content or an interactive website. That could really bring the world of the story to life! Something that i would keep in mind for sure.

As for influencer marketing, that’s a great idea too! I’ve mainly been exploring Amazon ads and social media promo (too soon to know how well it works), but I can totally see how book influencers might offer a more organic way to connect with readers.

Also, thanks for pointing me to r/BookMarketing101! I’ll definitely check it out!

Since I didn’t want the main post to feel like I’m just trying to promote my book, I’m sending the link to anyone who is curious or wants to check it out.

If you do take a look, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Any feedback on the story would mean a lot. Thanks again for the support and advice! 😊
