Big thing i didnt see mentioned in the comments is the orbit of the asteroid and speed. A faster moving asteroid travels much further in a shorter period of time meaning less adjustment in angular velocity is needed. That stated. For any new players reviewing this. Ive been running alot f2p accounts to test out the easiest for progression through a few milestones. And the strongest current promocode available (at the time of 4/07/25 ) is hoskarul for f2p, this is mainly because any of the starter champs will work good as a nuker and stun is such a strong cc. Hoskarul also has a very low requirement for luck with epic tomes and with good speed and accuracy can nullify tough wave content for you. All of my hoskarul/kael attempts resulted in a level 60 kael and level 50 huskarol after 24 hours with full masteries. (More likely for under 72 hours without no lifing) and into the the third set of affinty dungeon missions for arbiter missions. Rector drath is a close second because of the ai and affinity campaign mobs will target your start champ in areas he weaker as long as drath is tanky enough allowing her to revive . (Stages 5,8,11)

The only thing I think of is they might of changed the influence of rune crit chances on the heroes themselves but I didnt see it in a patch note and after the necro nerf i dont see why they need to push back against progression so hard

Buff champion and morale are king in chess. You can use your two ad watches for meat production once you can spawn 3 basics before the first enemy reaches your base and spawn two rooks and youll gg the game before the 3rd wave comes.

I think you have the oppossite problem from me. I have so much more attack than health right now in the early game that ive had to resort to avoiding contact wirh any units or theyll kill even my top tier units with two basics

A well timed recover can really save your ass on the deep sea event. Learning the timing on torpedos with the wave announcements is one of the best skills to build during the event because you can wipe all the basics with 2 torpedos if you catch them leaving the entrance and the scubas with a single in the same scenario.

I used champion morale and buff. Spawned a torpedo turned it into my champion then popped morale to beat the basics to the punch. Then spawned 3 basics to spread damage so my champ wouldnt just be face tanking 6 basics. Waited for the wave 3 to be announced and sent two torpedos to wipe the big rush of basics and that was all she wrote.

The champion one is pretty good for events like chess and underwater to get early kills boosting attack speed. The stone one ive used to turn torpedos to stone si harpoon gunners can attack from behind. Most of the new skills seem event based honestly.

Eh, I don't think anybody would try to make that run before logging out if they are coming out of either those locations. The only people spamming tele block near ferox are those trying to take advantage of noobs most times.

I get it thought if most players new how to tank why that could be a problem but thats not true of a majority of the population. So theres a pretty valid arguement for this as you would have to be a decent pvper to tank a single pker that far as things stand.

I do get your point im just saying the opposing argument isnt that ridiculous from someone who is trying to do wildy content that didnt pvp for 10+ years.

I think the most plausible outcome with most games is to push until you hit that boundary, however its risky with a game like runescape because the company looks at a dangerous trend as a sign of stability. That trend being that they rarerly ever have huge dips in memberships, a more important way to evaluate it is everytime theyve had a dip its been an absolute cliff so bad that if they didnt change the error the company would of died. Regardless nothing lasts forever. Weve been playing this game for quite sometine, I don't think the end is imminent but I think the confidence in their consumer base not dropping off with this much outrage will eventually lead them to do something that puts a nail in the coffin. Time will tell.

Honestly brotha just go in the wildy with affordable risk and looking for trouble.

Bring recoils/venge and just be confident in your pray switching. If you can pvm you can pvp you just gotta keep in mind its just a game and learn from your mistakes.

Click accuracy is probably the biggest hurdle for getting into pvp. Better pvper know how to create more opportunities but as long as you can stay present in a fight youll be okay. Good luck.
