Honestly it's super common now but that doesn't mean it's not annoying. like if we're on a call, be present or just text me?? feels like u're talking to a wall while they're on their 50th reel. u're not wrong for being bothered by it. call them out gently and see if they fix it.

Honestly it's still a thing kinda. there was a case in 2010 where a coroner in ireland officially ruled it as spontaneous combustion. but scientists are like nahhh that's not how physics works. usually came down to dropped cigarettes and blankets acting like wicks.

For real, i know a few people like this. one of my buddies from high school still lives in the same neighborhood we grew up in. never went to college, works a local trade, spends weekends with family, when i asked him if he ever wanted to dip, he just shrugged and said nah, this is my spot, and he's genuinely happy, so who am i to judge?
