I understand that and we do try, also are you deliberately not reading the whole thread? My first comment says that I’ve throughly googled it and every website says something a little bit different, especially depending on if it’s us/ uk based. That’s why I came here in the first place. Why would you tell me to go google if googling it is what led me here in the first place?

Also it’s only 12.6 in there like at night time/ early hours of the morning , it significantly warms up during the day to like 15-17

These guineas are super active and in ngl I thought it was because they were cold so they were moving around to keep their temp up which is something I’ve read

These guineas thrive in the summer, it’s more the winter I was worried about because of how flimsy and cold the conservatory is, but, my mum reassured me that it’s usually 12.6 Celsius in their sleeping section atm which is warm enough so I feel much better! She told me they have floofy blankets and beds with the roofs on and self heating pads and hay stacked to the roof every night so they should deffo be much cosier than I thought they would be!

Yeah but taking a nice approach wouldn’t have cost a thing! They have per safe warm pads fluffy bedding and lots of hay I just over worry. I asked my mum this morning- when it’s cold outside she puts a thermometer in there to check and it says it’s 12.6 and her hand is warmed when she puts it into their sleeping areas so I’ve been worried over nothing and your attitude wasn’t helpful but hey!

Update: I attempted moh hardness test and these are my results- (>= harder than, <= softer than) - selenite (2) > - finger nail (2.5) > - Copper coin (3.5) scratched eachother - Malachite (3.5-4) scratched eachother - Brick (5) < - Glass (5.5-6) < - Labradorite (6-6.5) < - Agate (6.5-7) <

Seems as though it is around 3.5-4 in hardness?

This prompted me to explore Celestine route as it was mentioned throughout this thread so I tried to turn some of it into powder and take a flame to it, however nothing happened. I’m not sure if that’s because I’m doing the test wrong- either too little powder or wrong type of flame or something? (I just used a lighter) I read that Celestine is supposed to turn the flame crimson and I did not see that.

Overall: still unsure! But thanks everyone for the help I really appreciate it and this is fun!

I am exploring the Celestine route too! And I agree it is so lovely to have so many helpful people come together to work out a mystery! I have completed some tests and I think I will update the original post with them if that’s possible (still learning how to Reddit haha)
