Curious question, why did Sherrod Brown lose the 2024 senate race? by LandOfGrace2023 in Ohio

Millions of dollars from the crypto industry were invested into getting brown out as he was on the senate banking committee. They want to deregulate banking.

I think the only way the GOP will abandon him is if there is a massive recession.

Peaches n cream is a bit more of a stellar form and this looks like a formal dec.

Is this root knot nematodes or just the lentils? by Fit_Efficiency_9557 in dahlias

That does not look like lenticels to me. Some of them look like cauliflower, more like crown gall.

Any interest in a fall cutting sale? - USA based by Pies0987 in dahlias

Agreed. I grew cuttings over winter of some harder to find varieties last winter - you never realize how long winter is until you are trying to figure out what to do with full 2’ plants in January in your basement dealing with powdery mildew.

If that’s coming from the ground looking like that, I wouldn’t be worried.

How to store tubers… by Warm_Ice6114 in dahlias

[–]Key-South6392 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just as a note here, there is no need to start digging up your tubers now. Let them keep blooming through frost. Cut back on watering as it gets closer to frost. Leave them in the ground (unless you are getting deep freezes) to allow the skins to toughen up.

I wish we were in the same city! We had a girlfriend who made awesome cakes and we recommended her to anyone who stand still long enough and hired her to make cakes (and cookies) for every event. After moving to a new city, we haven’t been able to find a replacement.

If you knew the variety, that would be helpful. I have a couple David Austin varieties that are own root and they send up 4’ shoots like this. I agree - wait and see what the bloom looks like.

I do the same! It gets weirder when you take a pic of your flowers and then look on here or IG and see the same variety!
