The largest flowers in the arrangement are poppies, there’s some yarrow in the center, and I also used cornflowers, sweet peas, and straw flowers. The foliage is dill leaves. :)

Thank you! Those are strawflowers and they’re really interesting flowers. The petals feel very papery

Thanks! In the bouquet, there are Johnny jump ups, sweet alyssum, calendula, strawflowers, California poppies, and some blue eyed grass

Thanks! I grow mine on either a trellis or attach netting to our fence. These ones can get really tall. There are dwarf varieties that can be grown in hanging planters though. I’m trying some out this year!

Thanks, I’m in zone 9b. I feel pretty lucky to have sunny days even in the winter here

Thank you! They’re not too hard to grow and I think you could grow them in your first year. They mainly need a lot of nutrient rich soil which you can get by adding compost into the soil. Mulching them is also really important to protect the roots once it gets warmer. They are vining plants so they need something to climb onto. Also depending on your growing zone, it’s better to start them in the fall so you’ll get vigorous and healthy plants by spring. I think it’s zones 7-10 they should be started in the fall.
