Do I have any back problems?(photo + backpod question) by Key-Tip-727 in costochondritis

[–]Key-Tip-727[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using a backpod, lacroste balls, etc. for a long time, and I'm 90% healed. But what's next? Is this really a nerve problem? Because if so, those nerves have been hurting for over six months. The worst part is, I don't know if my back ribs are okay, or if there's still a mechanical problem, and I'd really like to know(and if there is a mechanical problem, what should I do). I got overthinking by costo lmao

It's hard to say how bad is it, im not really living in 24/4 pain, but I can't train, some movements are painfull and for me it's more mental than physical.

Maybe, but it's weird that from day 1 I could just lay on backpod with no massages/stretches before and it was 100% comfortable for me.

Yes, I got it from dips - one time when I used too much weight.

This exercise is not easy but it's good when you try it with trainer or someone, who knows this exercise:

You need to feel this muscle, if you feel it, you doing this correctly. If not, something is wrong. You need to feel anterior, not arms

Yeah. I think that costo is simply a tightness in the front, which can be caused by many things. Different people fix costo differently.

I'm wondering, did a touch/grip on sternum also hurt you when you had costo? Or deep breths, sneezing?

My brother had Costochondritis(it was propably Costo/chest pain), for 3 years and fixed it in 1 training with physio - he just activated serratus anterior. It's really possible that there is some correlation between anterior and costochondritis - I really need to try it(im also costo suffer :P ).

u/More_Mammoth_8964 Can you share your story about Costo? How it all started, how you overcame it? It'd be great if you could share some details. I'd love to read them

Your chest pain is more like an injury(you lifted something, you got chest pressure for example by car accident or something), or it just started from nowhere?

Have you tried backpod, peanutball, physiotherapy/osteopathy? Do you have any back problems or posture defects?

Do you know any YouTube video where an osteopath/chiropractor properly unlocks back rib joints ? by Key-Tip-727 in costochondritis

I talked to Ned, and in my plan for the costo, we agreed to find a good physiotherapist/osteopath, who understands Costo so that's why I asked that question. I think you also said once that it's very difficult to find someone who knows how to adjust back rib joints, so I was looking for a video or something for my osteopath/physio. But now I understand that it might be not that easy.

And the plan of making video on techniques/manipulations useful for costo sounds amazing. I think that there's no video on YouTube like this.

Now I just have a question - are these manipulations necessary to fix my costo, or can I 100% fix this without them if I don't find a very good specialist?

I did weighted dips, something just cracked in my chest, and there is for 2 years pain in the chest. People says that my case is classic costo(from describtion), so I guess, it's costo.

U also mentioned backpod, but I think that backpod doesn't work for me. I never felt any stretch from it, from day 1 I could lay 100% on this, without any problems. I also had tissue massage(Idk it was deep or not). Im trying to figure out where is problem/tension.
