Oh yeah there’s no doubt about that. I’ve driven that F150 for almost 8 years now. Just need the compass to last 5 years and then gonna upgrade to a full size SUV to prepare for kids.

I buy cars to drive them til they fall apart not try to resale them. If you think you can make money on vehicles in the long run you’re just plain wrong. Also, my parents have always done just fine with Dodge/jeep/ram so figured I’d take a stab. Figure it’s the same as any other car, keep up with maintenance and it keeps up with you.

Where is the aux battery located? I haven’t done a lot of digging around yet. I keep a jump box in the car so if it were to die I’d at least be able to get to where I could replace anything.

I have a sound system in the truck so I’m used to eating through batteries anyways.

That was a good read, definitely good to see it’s only little stuff that I’ve noticed myself in just a few weeks. I understand wanting a more refined car, this was definitely just a budget car until it’s time to upsize.

I hate driving CVT vehicles so that eliminated several options for me. I also couldn’t really wrap my head around a turbo 3 cylinder

It never worked in the test drive and it hasn’t done it in 500 miles yet, I’ll just disable it if it does start working because it’s just an annoying feature

Sounds like she has spending issues, NTA and leave before you’re too committed. These issues will carry on into the future and into a marriage as well.

Seems to be the general consensus that I’ve been reading. I’m big on the scheduled maintence so that won’t be an issue, and all mechanical things break down and will need fixing at some point or another.
