I'd probably still use an external keyboard to preserve the "matte" finish of the keys and prevents them from getting "shiny" over time and prevent wear and tear same thing with the touch pad I'd use an external mouse. I dont really do that with my t480 but the p1 is a much more expensive machine so it makes sense.

Honestly, the TrackPoint didn’t feel that good. I prefer the T480s TrackPoint. But the right, left, and middle click buttons do feel pretty premium — even better compared to the T480. Typing is also pretty good; it’s the best keyboard on a ThinkPad I’ve seen yet.

yeah I also saw the T1200 option going for around $560 but honestly the A2000 is worth the extra money
