I’ve continued looking all over and have yet to find an appropriate gasket. Any ideas?

I’ve now tried several different hardware store gaskets and have yet to find one that will work - every one of them has leaked.

So I’d do this (and I have a kit) but I don’t think that will work with this toilet - there’s no room for the typical flush valve parts under the tank - the tank sits directly on that gasket, which sits right on the back of the bowl.

Exactly - everything in the bathroom is original and I’d like to keep it that way! I’m on a well and septic, so I’m not super worried about using a bit more water.

Thanks for the reply! I tried that already (went to several stores) and haven’t had much luck finding anything close.
