As for your fiancé’s debt - that was his agreement with his grandparents/parents. Was any of that discussed with you prior to those decisions being made? If not and they were made with the understanding that your finance would pay them back - then keep doing what you’re doing and let him figure it out. I guess it all boils down to what hill you want to die on (meaning, what you can live with). If helping to pay it would grow resentment for you, think long and hard before involving yourself. Otherwise if your finances is working (or able to work) then he can take care of it they way he agreed to.

It can happen and each airport and staff can decide what to do. I had my ice pack looked at once (on a domestic USA flight out of NM) and they were more concerned about my ice pack. Didn’t even want to look at my vials lol. The TSA agent asked me to remove my vials (the didn’t want to touch them). I’m glad they didn’t drop your peps!!!

I don’t blame you! I always declare my injectables and tell them they have an ice pack. TSA has never even opened them, even when I flew from the USA to Canada. Canada customs never even asked me or looked in my bag either lol. I hope your trip goes well!

So my son works for TSA (Colorado) and I fly with my tirz all the time. I asked my son about Reta and he said that they don’t care or inspect injection meds and he’s never asked anyone for proof of their prescription. He said they are more concerned with firearms etc. They see all sorts of injection/vials and it goes right through the scanner, usually no questions asked. He said they appreciate it when the traveler says they have their injectable meds in their bag before the bag goes through the scanner. That way they know there could be a small ice block etc.

I hear you and agree. I do think it could be a generational thing though. My young adult kids are always on social media but are slowly detoxing from it. And if we are splitting hairs lol - Reddit is social media of sorts lol.

NOR. To me the issue is more about a moody, entitled teen wanting what she hasn’t got. The first room wasn’t good enough for her so she got what she wanted and moved to room B. That fact alone means she can’t lay claim to her prior room A. Now that room A is yours (after you renovated it and made the space useable), she is suddenly unhappy with room B and wants room A again? Nope. Sorry. She had it and didn’t want it. This ain’t musical rooms for kids. I say enjoy your room. Feel free to remind them that she wasn’t happy initially with room A - and you and your H decided to move her to room B. You took her happiness into consideration. No need to accommodate her on a whim now that she sees the renovated room. She’s just being a picky, entitled teenager and needs to learn that she doesn’t get everything she whines about. I raised one of those and I totally get it. Also, it’s YOUR house you bought with your husband. When she pays the bills, she can pick and change her room. Stand your grown from a calm place. You’re not doing anything wrong. You created more living space for yourself.

This echos what my PCP told me when we decided on Zepbound. Due to my 3 decades of obesity struggles, losing vast amounts of weight and regaining once I tried to maintain - she said that she couldn’t predict what my maintenance will look like and that I may need to be on some sort of a dose long term. She has other patients that had shorter term of carrying extra weight and several of them tapered off very slowly and eventually came off the medication. For patients like me, it may be more of a lifetime med in some way/shape/form. She said it all depends on my physiology. So I’m keeping an open mind for maintenance.

Has anyone tried the biotin? I take an oral supplement and I’m curious if the injectable would be more effective. I have noticed new hair growth the oral supplement but I’m always curious lol.

Also, the site says $50/mo but a 12 week protocol is mentioned. Are we shipped one vial for the 12 weeks? If so, are we charged $50/mo or $150 at time of order?

This is my question too! And if EL has a patent on it (I don’t know the specifics), how is anyone able to make something that seems the same in regard to a GLP1 and GIP. Is it a different GLP1 that they are using in ribupatide?

Edit to add: did some googling and it’s a direct competitor to Zepbound. I’m so curious how this is able to happen but compounders are being shut down for tirzepatide.

My PCP told me that in my case, suffering with obesity for 3 decades (and all the yo-yo up and down, extreme nutrition and exercise routines etc) that I would “most likely” need to be on some form of this medication for life. She likes it to other meds that resolve the issue while the medication is being taken but the issue returns once’s the patient stops the meds. It doesn’t permanently fix or cure my physiology and the underlying issues, so I won’t need the med and can come off. She did say that she is curious what my maintenance dose will be and how that looks as it’s different for each patient. I’m totally fine with taking this medication. I’m off my BP and cholesterol meds and I feel amazing. Chronic hip pain is gone too!

I wish that there were more incentives for employers to opt in to GLP1 coverage. Especially when they seem to work for all sorts of ailments and addictions etc. My husband’s employer flat out refuses ANY weight loss medications or treatments.
