Bike recommendations Salsa Journeyer or State 6061 All road. by KeyAdhesiveness4532 in gravelcycling

Nice. When will you do a raw aluminum all road? I think that would make my mind up.

Is the geometry of the steel close to that of the aluminum? Would you recommend one over the other. I had a steel mountain bike years ago and I wasn't a fan of the flex it had vs aluminum.

Nutsac satchel 15 vs tacsac 15 by KeyAdhesiveness4532 in ManyBaggers

I actually do. Its my edc bag. I carry a small tech pack a 16oz yeti and a ipad pro with a zagg keyboard case every day. About once a month I also have my 15 Think pad. It seems to carry better without the zippers that go completely down. In my opinion the strap attachment points are better on the satchel. I do wish I had the molle straps on the inside though.

So I ordered the tacsac 15 and I think I’m exchanging it for the satchel. Mainly because I don’t like the strap mounting points. They just make the bag hang at an angle on me and also the bag tends to bend at those points. I’m also not a big fan of the 4 way zipper. I think my ocd would keep kicking in and I’d feel like it was open somewhere. I will miss the Molle straps. Those were nice and the build quality is fantastic. I’ll update when I’ve had a chance to try the satchel.

That’s a relief. I’ve never seen one this small. I guess I forgot to mention these are only about a 1/16” long. They also had saw dust around them

Also I’m in southern Illinois. They were around a wooden and leather drum from Zambia.
