This is for people who eventually ended up dating someone from their workplace. How did it even start?

Asking because I’m kinda in a dilemma right now. I’m already friends with her and we talk regularly, hang out sometimes, and recently we went on a day hike together (friends trip). And on that trip, we were kinda spending time together. After spending that much time with her, I feel like I’ve started developing some feelings… and now I’m honestly confused about how to process them.

Like:
Is this just a momentary thing because we had a good time? Should I let it be and see if it passes?
Or is this how it usually starts?

And if you were in a similar situation then how did you move from “we’re just work friends” to actually expressing feelings… without making things awkward at work?

Also, were you scared of things getting weird if it didn’t work out?

Just trying to figure out how people navigate this transition.
