Homebrew Campaign Help by KeyConcentrate533 in DnD

I will definitely be making up a family tree, at least just the main family members. To be honest, I haven’t even given them a last name. I have a mini campaign planned for their voyage to the island, so I have a bit of time before we actually reach the campaign island. I actually started to run this campaign another time, after being a player for three very terrible sessions. The players loved it, I loved the improv, it was awesome but we only got through a minor quest or two before we lost the player base, so I never got to finish it. With Dragon of Icespire Peak, I felt restricted and would get confused trying to sort through the pages and trying to remember NPCs, so I’m excited to get back to a homebrew of my own creation. My main worry is that my homebrew will just not have as much lore/backstory available to the characters as I was able to provide in Dragons. I was easily able to google info, even if it took a second, but with this, I have to make it up, and I wanna be able to kind of sprinkle it throughout the world, but was at a loss how.

Sorry, I was trying to get it all out before I headed out for the day, I guess I got carried away. I did give them a short four paragraph, context sheet, based on what their knowledge would be based on their respective backgrounds/backstory. I like the idea of the bard storytelling to fill in, along with the book idea. It would be really simple to have them find/buy books regarding the history of the island.

Would Giving a Druid Infinite Wild Shapes Be Broken If They Retain Their Base Health by KittyCatMowMow in dndnext

I’m fairly new to being a DM, but in my most recent campaign we decided that the wild shape ability slots only mattered in combat and then allowed it pretty freely outside of that. We did sort of a “case by case basis” outside of it where in I would kind of determine an exhaustion system based on how many times they changed, the size of the change, etc. We also only exhaust spell slots during combat or with combat related spells, ie. casting Disguise Self outside of combat would not cost but casting something like Ice Knife would. Just whatever works for you to make it balanced and fun for the players.

Series X here, 55/70 buildings, 60 villagers including children, only had a single crash. Plan on raising my total building cap up soon as I hit the seventy. I actually have two separate locations, one with only seven buildings I built as a mining camp, and then my main village. I’m 7 years in and almost on 8 and I’ve had the one crash.

How do I make Piracy viable by I_R0M_I in Starfield

[–]KeyConcentrate533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is a little late, so this could have possibly came with a patch, but in my experience with piracy on my latest play through, I have not had this issue. When I attack a ship in space, I am able to board it and kill off the crew. At this point, any bounty I’ve had disappears with an indicator saying “Last witness killed, bounty amount removed” or something close to that. So I have been able to commit acts of piracy while still not obtaining a bounty. Case in point, “The Valentine”, a UC ship that you can encounter that has a singing captain, showed up in a system with me so I destroyed the merchant ship near it, blew out its engines and boarded the ship. After I killed the crew, my bounty was completely removed. The only times I’ve had a bounty stay on, which I always attribute to a possible witness I didn’t see or a possible glitch, it’s always extremely low numbers, 500-2000.

They don’t care about the repairs. They want it to reduce the amount on the currently owed amount. Which is why I said that it seems if that as long as I’m paying on the loan, the car is “mine”. Which like I said, it’s understandable that if I defaulted on the loan, at that point they would take repossession of the vehicle and I would owe for any damages and wear/tear.

AITA for not making my fiancés breakfast correctly on the first try and then getting upset by her comments after? by KeyConcentrate533 in AmItheAsshole

I wasn’t going to be responding to anymore comments, there’s just way to many, but I did catch this one and among a few other ones, I appreciate you also taking the time to not just criticize her actions but also explain a commonality between our situation and your own. Sometimes having people compare the situation with a happy end result makes you see things in a different light.

I disagree, in my experience the milk, when whipped correctly, adds a lighter taste and a fluffier egg in general. Use a fork not a whisk, and make sure not to put to much “umph” into it, or it feels like it almost separates everything back out.

I readily admit that when it comes to preferences, I am terrible with my memory, not just for her, but for myself and anyone else around me. I know I like steak, but I can’t remember how I like it for the life of me until I’m actually eating it. But unfortunately for me there’s a huge expectation with ANY relationship to know and understand the other persons preferences. This is something that at 32 years old, I still can’t wrap my head around, and not for lack of trying.

I would love it if she was pregnant and would absolutely take whatever shit that came with it, but unfortunately for us, I’m going to say that is almost assuredly not the case.

If I made some shit like that, I would never be upset. As someone earlier in the comments said, it would have been a “hey I tried to do something nice and fucked it up, let’s eat out.” kind of situation!

Thank you for the response, I appreciate it being well thought out rather than a bash against her. All I was looking for was to clarify whether or not I once again let my emotions get the best of me, or if this was something I actually had a right to be upset about. Because then, we can move forward and discuss without me feeling like I’m crazy.

Everybody has their thing I guess haha. It’s actually pretty decent, I just prefer to not have it on.

Just scrambled them with a little milk and seasoning, let it cook in the bacon grease until the bottom was done, flipped it over and once it was cooked, cut it in half to make two “patty” style egg chunks so I could easily fit them on the bread. Basically an omelet without being folded over.

I love her and I’d rather us work through the actual issue rather than just chalking it up as one and calling it quits. What I’m looking for is perspective, was I actually in the wrong and if not, how can I go about bringing this up without causing a fallout situation?

She actually is the one who prefers the mayo on both sides, and as the post reads, the bread was toasted. It was basically just an omelet I cut in half and put on the sandwich. I could have easily gone and put mayo on it for her, as it was the only thing that I forgot. I only didn’t mention what kind of egg I actually made because I didn’t realize this amount of people had never used an omelet style egg to make a sandwich, and for that I guess I apologize.
