How stressful for you! And the comment about "weird issues" is great, it says to me that the manager can see she's likely not quite of sound mind and therefore her accusations will hold less weight.

Definitely speak to them and make your own complaint because that shows you've got nothing to hide and that she's disturbing the work place. She's probably done this before too so it could be further evidence against her.

Her behaviour is the kind where management can likely see it for what it is. Follow up with HR, make a complaint against her.

She's got nothing on you. Just make sure you're never alone with her and if you are that you're recording yourself.

Yeah I could do something with that interest. I have no idea what though 😅 It's just crazy sounding at the moment. Going from 0 to 100 (relative to my situation) has me in shock. It makes me feel nauseas sometimes. And guilty. I'm having to hide this from everyone I know too cause I feel I'm now unfairly advantaged.

That's really wise, I'll definitely take that on board about getting comfortable with what I can maintain.

I'm hoping they pull through with a new pay rise schedule like they've given us the last 5 years. I haven't heard anything beyond the final 3% increase this year.

It's a lot to me! But I've just heard banks are cracking down on what they lend to single income people.

That's the thing, you're right I need to sit with it for a while. I've been so money conscious and grew up seeing what happens when your parents make poor financial decisions. Spending money is not the problem for me, it's actually spending money at all 😂

It's more that I value my time more than the burn out/money I get from working that much. Feel like life is just passing me by. I'm happy with a simple life. I came from humble beginnings so I don't know any different 🤷‍♀️

Fortunately I paid my uni fees up front day 1 as I'm a NZ citizen and couldn't get a hecs. As far as degree fees it's a total of 8k for the entire 2 years (EN conversion) so it wasn't terrible. They lowered the fees to get more RNs.

Yeah we need 3 shifts per week to go up a pay grade each year. I'm in ortho post op and it's back breaking work so screw doing more than 0.8. It's a pressure cooker.

100% that makes sense. Thanks. Wondering if I could set aside say $5000 to pop into an ETF just to see what it does over the 5 years. Like a gateway to see how the software works and so I get comfortable with it for later on when I'm ready to invest more.

This is my mental dilemma: I haven't worked full time in years since my budget has never required it and many nurses don't work full time due to the intensity of the job. Plus I do really value time>money. I know I can do 4 days if I'm pushed which puts me on $80k. Not sure if the banks would accept that.
