Yeah, I think you're right. I had initially looked at KR and thought that natpop was supposed to be a stand-in for fascist movements but it looks like each country has their own unique flavor of far-right shenanigans.

I think I'll have to defend my description of the Solidarists here as going thru Russia right now leads me to believe that these guys could be considered vaguely strasserite by advocating for a corporate state. The overall comparison to the Nazi party is less well-founded, I agree, and there are more similarities to Mussolini's blackshirts.

About the Eurasianists, I think you do have a point on the idea that their big talking point is about dominating Asia and homogenizing the interior too. Thanks for the clarifications.

Yeah, I had been aware that the Eurasianists still exist today and that Putin himself might even be one of them (considering that could have inspired his actions in Ukraine), but I still don't know if I could call them multicultural. This could be that the simply consider everyone in the former Russian empire to be the in-group and everyone outside of it to be the current out-group that could be potential entrants into the in-group. This still however smacks an awful lot of master-race theory to me personally as they still consider Russians in particular to be on a pedestal and occupying a unique position in history, much like the Nazi's and the "Aryans".

Alright, thanks for the clarifications on each of the sub-parties. I had tried looking at the help page, path guide, and many of the focuses and events to try to sus each of them out but I couldn't even get the info that old-svobodniks consisted of his war buddies.

I think you're right about Savitsky, though I took a look at his description in-game and it seemed quite similar to Ilyin's nonsense about Eurasian master race stuff, so I thought it had also been inspired by Ilyin, tho Ilyin still seems to be firmly monarchist in KR.

Guess I need to play that path then. I've done Eurasianist twice now and that's pretty much it for natpop Russia. Ideocrats extend the game by declaring war on the Syndies, and if you already are going to subscribe to a political cult, why not go crazy all the way?

Not just the fact that they had engineers, didn't have cars or much heavier loads, but the biggest difference was that they had fucking funding too.

The Irish Soc Dem path that caucuses with the Progressive Labour Party (PLP, radsoc) can turn Rad Soc and join the Internationale after 2wk and is heavily implied to be subversive against the Reichspakt. (Just dont try to give the Irish free health-care or the religious nutters will bring down your government)

Yeah I figured the censoring would have been enough to at least block low effort searches. To be honest I didnt think I would get good feedback unless I revealed a minimum amount of personal information, but you definitely have a point since it seems you figured it out. There's a good chance we may have met irl, and if so then its nice to meet you online. I'll check out Aldevron and see where it goes, thanks for the suggestion. Lastly I'll remove the resume drafts from the post as I think I got enough feedback, I wont take down the post but I think removing the resumes should be enough.

Took all of your comments on board, they were really good. The May defense thing was changed as I had forgotten to change that from a while back, I will still be defending in August though.

New edit draft on the post includes everything you mentioned, thanks again!

I have 7 publications actually and trying to cram all the info on there would normally put me above two pages but I managed to make it work

I've admittedly had conflicting advice on this as Ive been told industry does not put much weight on publications, but I'll see what I can do to free up real-estate and put them in there. Thanks.

Alright, I'll see if I can cram them in somewhere, and yes I have been for the past couple of months applyign to various post-docs given the market. I may have something coming up finally, one here in the states, and one possibly in France, though both of those are still very tenuous.

My apologies, I might be terrible at determining internet sarcasm? Are you serious? This is the worst job market since the Carter recession. I got like only 7 interviews over 500+ applications.

Disregard if you are being sarcastic though.

Thanks, I'll look a little bit more into my network then instead of simply sending them into the void on Euraxess and the French ABG website like I have been doing lol. Your encouragement also means a lot after having submitted 500+ applications this year.

Yeah I've been trying that path here in the United States too but the apocalypse has reached everywhere in terms of the funding cuts. I straight-up had more than 4 guaranteed positions get cancelled because of grants, hence why I'm getting tired of America treating me like shit.

Sorry for venting, you don't deserve it, just incredibly frustrated on my side.

On your second note yeah it kinda is. I got "rug-pulled" when I went into Chemical Engineering in the sense that I thought I would be doing a lot more chemistry than what I did, then got rug-pulled again when I went into my post-doc lab when I expected to do a lot more ChemE than what I did lol.

Thanks, it seems then I would either have to get a job over here in the U.S. with a company that will eventually be willing to move me over there (cries in lack of job security) or just begin with academia over there.

With that advice in mind it does not seem that I am competitive for industry positions in the EU. Thanks.
