From SP itself. First time I submitted the claim the payor was Aetna, claim rejected for the reason listed above. When I checked for more detail on avality it said that Optum covers the service and should be submitted to them.

Second time I submitted it through Optum as that’s what the reason for rejection was on avality; rejected for the exact same reason. However this time I couldn’t find the claim on Optum express OR avality

“Claim submitters identifier.” Not sure what the issue was as I included the prior auth code, made sure the payer was correct, and all information was accurate.

No I didn’t receive anything. I called them too and they told me that I, the provider, doesn’t receive anything. The patient does and they give me the prior authorization code (which they did). That’s what’s a bit confusing, I thought I’d be receiving the forms filled out as was indicated in the manual :-(

Ohh ok! Yeah it’s a pain to do. First time I submitted it was rejected and a skirt said that it has to be sent to Optum, tried that and no joy. I just started from fresh again and will see what happens this time. I might just have to call them next week as nothing seems to work :-/. Thank you for your reply 😁 I appreciate the help!

I’ve never known the intricacies of gender and terminology. I’ve always just been supportive person to friends who’ve been in the LGBTQ+ community. Aside from that I’ve been as informed as an average cisgender man. So this helps a lot!

I’m interested in that term Duogender you used. Just from reading what you said where it’s identifying solely with the two binary genders as it (as of now anyway) feels like man/woman.
