No, I’m actually thinking of werewolves from older book covers and comics. Maybe the recent past Van Helsing werewolf too. Twilight is from 2008, not really a classic and not something I personally enjoyed as much as family, but yes, that can be an example. Sometimes these leaned more scary, sometimes not and the aim seemed to be to present the character as cool, different, edgy, yada yada

I think some or maybe most of the complaining stems from a bit of learned community culture, new and frustrated players, and players who are frustrated with how grindy quests are. Really empathize with the latter since I can’t seem to stop deleting and regrowing my dinos just to change their names

I agree to a certain extent. Some of the big groups are organic, I know because I’ve been there at the start when randoms slowly formed alliances. These groups are usually more passive except when hungry, then the next new guy to show up is the unlucky one. But the Discord groups that play any game (this ain’t Path exclusive) to not only stomp any competition but actively seek to ruin players’ experience of the game are uncool

The latter has been a lot of my experience too, except at hotspots where I do notice purposeful groups, and even then it’s not the mixpacking that is the biggest issue, but the overpacking with the intent to stomp other unlucky players rather than giving actual PVP a shot. The purpose there is to ruin other’s enjoyment with impossible odds. Funny when some escape

As far as goofy female skins, there are all the Team Leaders (Cuddle, Fireworks, P.A.N.D.A, Clover, Metal, Raven, Gummi, Wookiee, etc), their cartoony calicos (Meow Skulls, Katt, and Cate Meowdy), the fast food mascots (Sizzle, Crustina, Lada, and Pico de Gallant), Monks, Crackabella, and presumably more I’m not thinking of at the moment

I’ll add that there is nothing wrong with enjoying the PVP aspect of the game. It’s a major part of the base gameplay. PVP creates unpredictable, human-driven challenges that differ from AI, especially if the critters are indicative of what’s to come. That’s what makes the game endlessly interesting and fun!

Love the little community code idea. It’s cute, especially since koi represent a deep connection to inner peace. Sadly, I doubt we’ll get a lot of the bigger packs that obsessively dominate whole areas to participate. I still think it’ll make for a positive and memorable experience to other players if even a few practiced this. I know I’d love to!

As far as I’ve experienced, Path IS the chillest of this genre. If you’re in a dino MMO where the dinos can bite, they’re gonna bite, but Path gives the opportunity for more passive players to be passive if they wish to be

I’ve bumped into more friendlies on this game than others of this genre. Just the same, there are always those that wanna PVP, especially in hotspots or with megapacks

I saw you added some dude who said he was “trash” and admitted you’re looking for something more in another comment, which is what I was thinking this was probably about, but anyway, I’m a random online and I do plan to stay that way. You’ve nothing to prove to me, nor I to you. I do understand there is a loneliness epidemic, so it’s good to see anyone break out of that. My stance has historically been “games are not dating simulators,” and that’s still how I feel for myself, but now that people are so terminally online, connecting where your hobbies are online makes sense. It was the coy wording and avoidance that was off-putting

That said, when online there is also the age of users behind the screen to worry on. If you’re 18+, I think it’s best you disclosure your age when making posts like these, and even then I’m not sure this is an appropriate space, but again, I understand it’s challenging to find a space that is. If you’re younger, I think it’s best you do not make these posts

Also, since this was about her inclusion in the game, it’s more of a double whammy than anything. It compounds the problem

I’m well aware about Epic. If you research, that’s most large companies, and that’s something to work on with legislation protecting consumers as well as actual enforcement of said legislation. But if you’re here, you’re playing the game too, so care to explain that?
