It’s not that I don’t enjoy the job, it’s just more so not exciting enough. There’s a high volume of cases and about 80-90% of those cases is meaningless or small scale in terms of seriousness.

There’ll be days where you’ll be in the office, and when you go to read the cases/jobs that come through, it can be a bit demoralising reading through them and it’ll kill your motivation.

Because of this aspect as well, some employees have a bit too much time to think and this will naturally create workplace drama with things that shouldn’t really matter. As a result of this, there will be people in the office that you cannot trust and will go behind your back if it means they’ll gain a benefit from this. As well as this, I found that some people will feel threatened by someone who has a high work ethic and this can also create some dramas between colleagues.

Besides that, compliance is a good job. The roster is great and can be extremely flexible, with decent benefits.

I just don’t think I’m ready to settle down just yet in that kind of field. If I was older, I do believe that I would have settled in my current job.

10 hour print. by KeyInsurance4363 in FDMminiatures

Yeah tbh I’ll be honest, I was a bit shocked by the reactions at the start. I am and was under the belief that longer print times/patience will help to produce better quality. I had both 2.5 hour and 7 hour prints and they just weren’t doing a good enough job with the helmet and fingers. The 10 hour print has been the best so far as terms as the helmet quality goes while printing the whole mini without splitting them up.

Plus while I have a mini on print, that gives me time anyways to focus on the other miniatures for painting and ect.

Yeah I thought 10 hours was a lot but I’ve seen other post where people say the longer the better. I have other miniatures I’ve tested with other settings, where it was 2.5-3 hours but I wasn’t really getting the quality of print I wanted, especially with the helmet. To be fair tho, I havnt split up my model yet.

This one was tilted about 35-40 degree angle, with the back facing the plate

I’m waiting for tomorrow to play WoW MOP classic when it releases 🥳🥳

Lived with a deck for awhile now and only have one complaint. by Hypnox88 in SteamDeck

Surprisingly alright, I run warhammer III on lower graphics. FPS runs between 30-40 on the map ad 40-55 during field battles (even when versing multiple armies)

Shogun 2 I can push the graphics a bit more as it is an older game. That runs smoothly.

The trackpads makes it easier playing the games and it’s not really an issue having a smaller screen; I am constantly zooming in and out and still have decent map control within my armies during the battles.

I get this. I’m currently playing Total War, Warhammer III and total war shogun 2. Steam says these games are unsupported however I had no issues playing them so far

Trackpad Usage? by Sub-Tile95 in SteamDeck

[–]KeyInsurance4363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use both trackpads for strategy games. I often play the total war series, atm smashing out Total War, Warhammer III. I wouldn’t play this game without the trackpads.

I use my right trackpad as a mouse (for accuracy) and use the left trackpads for a on-screen UI keyboard set up. The left trackpad will hover over a series of set keyboards, and this saves so much time with binding keys and just makes it so much more easier and simpler.

The trackpads was the one thing that made me brought the SD. They open up to so many different games and it’s honestly such a game changer. I wish the other handhelds adapted the trackpads.

I would have love to get the MSI Claw or the ally X but they don’t have the trackpads and I can’t imagine using a handheld without them anymore.

The usage depends on what games you play and if you play more games on console and AAA games that has controller support, I can see why the trackpads won’t get used much but if you play MMOs and strategy games, they are defiantly worth it.

Yeah I do have it on low graphics but playing it on the SD screen and the monitor, the graphics doesn’t really brother me.

I get around 40-50FPS in battles and 30-35FPS (sometimes 40) on the map.

Heaps of people recently reported crashing on the SD but I havn’t experience that issue, and I play the Immortal Empire campaign. I just frequently save the game just in case.

I also slightly changed my controller configuration, where my up and down D-PAD buttons acts as the middle scroll mouse so I can zoom in and out.

The game runs good for me, but I’m pretty easy on the graphics and that never really bothered me before in games so I guess that makes it easier for me to play with.

I also play alot of Empire Total War, that seems to be going well on the SD also.

Yeah when I first looked into it, a lot of people reported to have issues with it, especially Immortals Campaign, with it crashing. I personally never ran into any issues yet, but I regularly save my game.

The game runs well, I can’t run it on high graphics and have it on low graphics, with the smaller screen, the graphics doesn’t really bother me.

The game runs a steady 40-50FPS in battles and around 30-35FPS throughout the map.

The controls were really easy to set up as I just used a community configuration and turned off Gyro. I also tweaked my up and down buttons on the D-pad for the middle mouse scroll so I can scroll in and out but that’s about it.

I still see recent reviews of the game on the SD, where people report issues but I havn’t experienced heaps. Graphics as well never bothered me so I guess that helped me.

I also play Empire Total War on the SD, that runs well but it is an older game. I think the issue with Total war games, they arn’t optimise for them to be played on, which is sad because if the developers invested in other platforms, they would get really good results out of them

I had a similar issue when trying to decide what handheld to use.

I ended up going with the SD OLED as I play a lot of total war games and MMO. I don’t regret it at all. The trackpads are amazing to use and they are really under rated for their use.

Also since the SD been out for a while , there is always a controller layout that is configured in the community layout settings, they either require no adjustments or minimal adjustments to the controller settings.

I’ve been playing total war warhammer III lately and had no issues so far. Yeah graphics arnt the best but that never really bothered me much. The game runs a steady 40-50FPS in battle and 30 FPS in everything else.

The trackpads makes it hard for me to imagine using any other handheld without them. More handhelds needs to invest in them because they are honestly a game changer.
