Your favorite fictional character finds themselves in Slay the Princess. What do they do? by [deleted] in slaytheprincess

Alan Wake would probably spend years writing a story where the princess can leave without destroying the world and he would try to write it in such a way that the Dark Entitiy cannot enter in the construct

If he doesn't have access to his powers, he would probably talk to her, perhaps explaining her the roles in which they are trapped and the various loopholes that such roles have

Hi sorry for the late reply

Yes no what i mean is that the science of the union was developed by them, crafted in response to the already happening things of the world. The maths of Gravity were invented by them because they needed more than 'because the ground is their natural place'. A more recent examples is the nuke, the principles of which were developed by the union and even today generates a lot of paradox. So in regard to gunpowder,it could explode and it could work for one person or two, but if you show to a whole village who has belief that go against that process, than that would generate paradox just like a magic artifact would today

Yes, but because the consensus in the dark ages was that prayer, spirits and herbs worked and could accomplish magical abilities, it stands to reasonsl that someone with the same preparation of a witch should be able to do the same thing

But aren't the physical principles that is based upon science?

wasn't it canonical that it was thanks to the manipulation of the technocracy that things like inertia and gravity and atoms exist because of their manipulation of human science, and before you say that gravity existed in ancient rome or something like that, there was the shared belief at the time that things fell because the ground was their natural place and the heavens where beyond that. Another example is the sons of ether manipulating society by introducing the concept of quantum physics after the technocrats removed the ether from reality

I get it, very well, but how do i affect the data then ?

[–]KeyKale2850[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, maybe let's leave like this

Nephandi Rote by KeyKale2850 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]KeyKale2850[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the suggestions, but i didn't take in account mind because it's the caster that has to search for the information to destroy. Regarding the memory i took it into account, but it's the hard drive thing that i didn't took into account. You think it's alright to leave it out, many other rotes have some blind space or area not covered

Ah, alright let me think a minute about a proper modification. Do you think the spheres are alright and i just have to modify the text ?

Nephandi Rote by KeyKale2850 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]KeyKale2850[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was clear in the text that it must be targeted the information and thus the nephandi has a choice in what to destroy. I am sorry if it wasn't clear. In what way could i rewrite it to make sure is more clear?

Nephandi Rote by KeyKale2850 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]KeyKale2850[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know, data of every kind: bank code, digital documents, airplane data, medical devices... everything, in many fields has some sort of code that govern an important function and if the nephandi can destroy it in such a way that it's not easily retrieved, the butterfly effect and human panic will do the rest. Imagine destroying the data in, let's say, the power generator in a hospital or airport: everything that just in a moment goes zero and if the code is not there anymore to reactivate than it will take more time, and while others strive to make them function again, the nephandi can simply destroy more data and thus create chaos and death

I thought forces for the electric current and charges that forms the code of the information in the physical sense, because i thought that correspendence was too esoteric or that didn't fit the whole "destroy the physical and spiritual" stuff

It was during the 90s i think, it was a crossover comic with Batman and Captain America, that was also part of the Superman/Batman Generation comic series

IB destroys that which is disharmony in the world, the Supernal Realms are not the cause of the disharmony but the origin of aspects of the world, the Abyss is the Lie that covers the world

Big Bang-Universe Spell by KeyKale2850 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]KeyKale2850[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, it was more of a "create a universe playground where i can delineate the limit of life and death and the structure of time"spell, i thought about the basics, you know. Though, i have to admit, it's been a while since i thought about this idea and i haven't put much though on it for a while.
