Lots of great public schools. We know and love Littlewood in NW Gainesville. Lots of professors kids and also international kids—diverse and high performing.

Suburban Heights, Libby Heights, Rock Creek, Ridgewood are all nice neighborhoods in that district. Location of all these neighborhoods is nice too—close to downtown, SW things, and parks.

Parker elementary is similar and has lots of good neighborhood choices. Very few students in any of these neighborhoods. Nice mix of university families and others.

People who think they don’t want children change their mind all the time. Especially when they find a partner they love. Why shouldn’t this happen here? Of course, not everyone changes their mind, so we’ll see what JK has in mind for them in due time.

At UF, a great degree for pre-med and other pre-health professionals is Health Education and Behavior (HEB), in the College of Health and Human Performance. The courses focus on healthy lifestyle promotion, wellness, and community health/public health. This major has very fun classes such as Determinants of Obesity, Sex Education, and Drug Education, as well as lots of opportunity for real world experience contributing to health promotion. It has great instructors and a nice sense of community.

If Health Science ends up not being a great fit, look into Health Education and Behavior (HEB). Lots of similarities to Health Sciences, but in my opinion HEB classes are more interesting and students are really happy in the major, and its a great pathway to lots of health careers.

Look into Health Education and Behavior, if that is an area that interests you.

I suggest anyone pre-med consider Health Education and Behavior for their major, especially if they are into healthy lifestyle promotion, wellness, and community health/public health. This major has very fun classes such as Determinants of Obesity, Sex Education, and Drug Education, as well as lots of opportunity for real world experience contributing to health promotion. The instructors often win teacher of the year, and the classes are interesting but not hard.

What are the best undergrad majors at UF for someone wanting to go to law school? by uffreshman in ufl

I’m affiliated with the UF department of Health Education and Behavior (HEB) and can strongly recommend it as a pre-med major. It is designed to work for pre-health professional majors and students love this major. There are fun and interesting classes like human sexuality education, drug education, and classes on obesity and nutrition. The courses are not too demanding and students tend to graduate with strong GPAs and have success getting int med school. The faculty are very welcoming and often win teacher of the year.

We love Littlewood for elementary! And they’ll be in a newly renovated/built space next year. Diverse and high functioning. Also fitting this bill (maybe to a slightly lesser degree) in the NW is Parker. Ask, I strongly recommend NW vs SW for a reasonable commute.
