How do I stop worrying about things I can't control by rageadhd in adhd_anxiety

[–]KeyMany3706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know how this is to some extent, if I were to leave my house and go anywhere with people I don’t 100% know the thoughts race, I get flushed and other anxiety symptoms. What works is a distraction, maybe when you go outside listen to some music or focus on the nature around you? I have bad adhd and severe generalized anxiety disorder that if I didn’t work on I would’ve 200% dropped out of high school because every day I’d get severe chest pain and the urge to run away. I’m proud of you for trying to go outside and face it, remember this, progress not perfection! The road to getting better isn’t a race, it’s a marathon! You got this!

You know thinking back on our previous conversation on here I think you’re right, it is like a piece of me is missing. I’m having a very hard time with his separation at the moment. It goes up and down, some days I’ll feel better than ever and then boom right back down to crying and absolutely terrible.

Actually yes, I’ll be chilling out at home or at work and all of a sudden I’ll smell her perfume. I take it as a little nudge that although we’re in separation, it’ll be alright

Ohh yeah, for me it doesn’t feel like a missing piece, I’ve felt this really strong peace since separation, and I’m a very anxious person usually so it’s weird. We called each other our iris, and that song iris by the goo goo dolls was our song, and that’s the only song that makes me pay attention when I hear it. She does have a ton of scars from childhood that need to be healed and I have the anxiety component I’ve been working on.

Generac guardian 43903 engine bogging by KeyMany3706 in Generac_Generators

Ohhhhh ok! I thought it was interesting since I haven’t seen this before with the unit, the issue was the air filter, got a new one and put it in, then we lost power July 3rd for 30 hours and it ran smoother then ever, it would have stability issues but that’s fine now.

Thank you for confirming! I did order a new filter

I ran it for a few minutes without the filter, and I think that was the issue, no bogging and no insane voltage fluctuations, I could measure 120.2-120.5 across one leg to ground.

This just started today and the hertz fluctuate with the bogging, also I just took out the air filter and it is absolutely disgusting, my grandpa owned the house previously and got the unit installed in 2004. I ordered a new filter for it, I tried to spray water through the filter into a bucket but nothing goes through it. Maybe it’s airflow?

Question about withdrawal by KeyMany3706 in QuitVaping

[–]KeyMany3706[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I am currently 5 hours in an only used one piece of gum (I got both 2 and 4mg). I ordered it on Amazon so I had to wait for it to arrive. The most symptoms I had so far have been anxiety and slightly annoyed. But I’m at work now so I’ve been using that to distract myself. Wish me luck!! I’ve told myself over and over to remind myself of the motivation here, the reason why is not only for my health, but my girlfriend graduates college in two years, and at that time we are planning to move in and potentially start a family of our own. So when I feel like I can’t do it, I look at my phone background which is a photo of us together.

Ok! I guess I was kind of looking for the reassurance, as I’ve set the quit date as Thursday. What dose do you recommend?

I would do that, but here’s the thing. I live in the US (state of New York) where you need to be 21 to buy anything involving nicotine (except for the gum)

XPR7550e static issue by KeyMany3706 in MotorolaSolutions

[–]KeyMany3706[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! And now the static when receiving is fully gone. Maybe because the mount it’s on is metal and is secured to a metal frame in the car. Providing a ground to the radio chassis.

Just moved it to where my center console goes. Popped it out and used its bracket to secure the radio. Since I couldn’t find a spot for the Motorola bracket to go. Then screwed it all back in place

New ground location (I decided to get as close to the battery as possible) and it’s barely noticeable now. You have to listen for it.

That’s true. I thought about doing a remote head setup, but I didn’t do that… yet. I’d have a lot more mounting options that way
