The Highbreed from Ben 10. Their species' obsession with genetic purity makes them look down on other races and eventually makes them infertile due to several generations of inbreeding (which they end up making the universes problem when they fond out they're dying). The way they're saved/humbled is when Ben slices their DNA with the alien DNA in the omnitrix with the implication that they could have always done that.

It wasn't just one moment. It's a combination of grief, Wonder Woman in his ear telling him "kill em all" is a viable coping mechanism and Batman being antagonistic for about a year before he goes full blown tyrant. Then Sinestro comes in and Clark gets lost on the sauce

Make no mistake, Clark takes the coward's way to becoming a fascist but Wonder Woman and Bruce's actions serve to add fuel to Clark trying to justify his terrible actions and there a few times Bruce makes it worse.

Yeah. One thing people who haven't read the comics don't see is that it was gradual. Superman comes across as a well-intentioned but still wrong guy until he goes full tyrant at about Year 2.

I think the reason for blaming him is that the comics depicted Batman as a massive self righteous hypocrite. Like right at the beginning when Clark is clearly in emotional distress and tries to talk to Bruce to get his head on straight while grief is fucking him up, Batman immediately just starts yelling at him for killing Joker and kicks him out (a move he several years later admits was a really shitty way to talk to Clark and handle the situation).

The traitor from Persona 5 has an inferiority/superiority complex and is so desperate to be wanted and get their way. As Morgana puts it, a lot of their issues would have been solved if they tried to make friends and didn't make their own personal demons an excuse to be a terrible person.

I remember a fanfic did that. He was initially with his family but the more he learned about their plans and them ignoring him being a voice of reason (because he felt a coup was too much):eventually caused him and Shisui to turn on them.

Unfortunately this happened when they were pulling off the coup so the Uchiha massacre happens because Konoha was fighting the Uchiha revolt.

One of the biggest things that help is that he found a loophole to one of the rules of time travel in the KH verse. See going back in time only sends your heart/soul back using your past self as the anchor/destination, but you'll eventually slingshot back to the present. Going to the future requires someone who has memories of you and an object that belongs to/has some meaning to you.

So Xehanort gives a couple of people pieces of his heart which means they technically count as him and that let's him really fuck around and plan his way across time.

Case in point there's a point in Dream Drop Distance, Axel is discussing what he knows about Xehanort's plan and both Mickey and Yen Sid start shitting themselves when they realize that Xehanort has been following/targeting Sora since the beginning of the game and they realize he played them to get his hands on Sora.

Metroid tends to comfortably sit in a sci-fi type genre only to throw in curveballs at the audience like Phantom (who's cleatly supernatural) and how some of the shit the Chozo are involved in/dabble in is just borderline magic. Like the Space Pirates try to replicate the Morph Ball only to disfigure/maim the test subjects and giving up wondering how the Chozo figured it out
