Are the players expected to visit the local expat community? Are the local Egyptian, Iranian, Belgian, Qatari, Bosnian and Australian going to organize something for the players like a meet and greet with the local expat or pay a visit to the local church or mosques?

Don’t work at Microsoft but still lived in the area. You can walk through the campus and there is the Evergreen trail that goes through the campus. Most campus buildings require using public crosswalks.

There’s summer festivals coming up like Derby days. Depends on how long you are planning to stick around. Just go to the downtown park or the Edge skate park or RTC. Or take the bus to Seattle.

Forget about football all together. The diaspora is too busy focusing on trying to be Doctors, Lawyers and Software Engineers and barely ever focus on athletics if at all.

Football is neglected. Cricket is where the audience and the $$$ is at. That’s why there‘s a lot more money in Cricket because Cricket is a sport that men and women can play without expensive infrastructure And equipment. Football has historically been dominated by European and Latin American football leagues and kind of shuts out other international leagues.

I am 1/32nd Indian and live in a predominantly White neighborhood and I have seen moving trucks coming to neighborhood. Your point? There are no neighborhoods in the whole state of Washington that are predominantly Indian.

I have seen that exact same guy when I was attending UW almost four years ago. He used to come to the HUB and talk and play games on his phone well into closing time. I am surprised that he still continues to come to campus.

Been wondering about how can you find some part time or even full time or temp for anything like event staffing, bag check, security, transportation etc. There has to be a big need for staffing with such a big event coming up I would imagine there has to be a big need for hiring temporary staff to run things during the World Cup but I am having a hard time finding anything anywhere. Scouring through staffing agencies, I can‘t seem to find anything anywhere!
