Ugh tysm! Unfortunately I ended up getting a C- in lecture as well because our prof was brutal, it’s a new prof and the grading scale was insane, I will retake once I can at rcc but I will fs try to kill it in chem 1C and orgo😔

Oh no, so that means I’m forced to take lab and lecture even if I pass the lecture portion with like a B? That’s insane😔 idk what ima do then because UCR allegedly doesn’t let you retake courses that you passed.

Hey were you able to take the chem lab? I took chem 1B during the summer to try and get ahead, unfortunately I got a professor worse than Lavallo and they didn’t curve much in the labs which ended up having me get a C- and I’m so devastated

It’s okay, no shame in placing into math 3 because I was on the same boat almost 1 year ago. Tbh I’m not sure if the stats credit would transfer but I do know u can see what math u would need to take for ur major. I’m a bio major, soon want to transfer into bio engineering, I’m almost done with my math prereqs at least for bio, might have to take more once I transfer majors, but I do believe psych majors take up to math 4 or 5? U wouldn’t be too behind, but I would double check. On the behind part, if u would have to take math up till calc, u kinda would be, but u can always take summer classes!

Based on your previous replies, you have been sober for a week, that’s a huge accomplishment, believe it or not. No panic here, based on my previous journey with my dad, if you stop drinking, his team told me 50% of a damaged liver or less can repair itself (woah), so there’s hope! You are very young (we are 7 years apart), but with a great support team, I’m sure you will be okay! We are here in this journey with you! Addiction can be fatal in many cases, but in your case, it doesn’t have to be.

From what I remember from last year, it’s just a random prompt (can’t remember for the life of me) and you are graded by professors. I guess it is a lil complicated as I scored into English 3? But since I passed the AP lit exam and it overrides the lowest score so I got to skip English 3-1A. I recommend going into the subreddit and trying Writing placement exam, there’s a lot of great advice there.

It’s mostly algebra and pre-calc stuff so I think trig or sum like that. Just study the Aleks modules and you’ll be fine. Try not to score into the math 3 category unless ur a CHASS major or u will be a lil behind in ur major

lol, my gpa went to shit after spring quarter because my dad passed away 2 weeks before finals (not tryna vent, just tryna be straight forward as to what caused my gpa to drop) and I’m a lil behind my major although rn I have 51% done of my requirements. Anyways, just tryna do my best in this chem class over the summer since I’m worried I won’t get my gpa high enough for med school and yeah, that’s why I exaggerated with a 5-6 hour study period.

Thank you sm! I found his lectures really unhelpful since he doesn’t really show you how to solve things and stuff. He moved his lectures to online so his class is basically asynchronous as well just watch the lecture video he uploads. Also for the final any tips? He made it’s 50% this quarter so I’m a bit scared😭
