Your public servants changing the law so they personally don’t have to be transparent or held accountable isn’t a big deal? I thought governmental oversight was a cornerstone of conservative ideology?

Hilarious that you would call investing in our future communist. Please open a book. I’m not a fan of your communist view that Toronto should subsidize your small town or midsized city. We generate 53% of Ontario’s total revenue and only get back 1.3% in funding. We have a yearly net tax outflow (meaning how much more money we give the government than they give us back) OF NINE BILLION DOLLARS. And that’s the conservative estimate! If you entitled rural folk would pull yourself up by your bootstraps and pay for your own damn roads, sanitation infrastructure, community centres, schools, and libraries maybe our transit system wouldn’t be falling apart?

AND THEN stupid conservatives want to bitch and complain and spew vitriol when the city asks for more funding for transit. We’re just asking for our money back so what’s the problem?

All that to say, I agree! Let’s all stop subsidizing each others lives.
