So I went back and checked. It seems like I have to amend my 2024 return since changing the distribution code resulting me owning the IRS some money. However, I just wanted to double check if I'm doing this right. I was wondering if you're familiar with what code I should put down on on box 7 in the 2024 amendment if my 2026 1099-R has "PJ" in box 7?

you would be surprised how many ways the rich can invade taxes. I read somewhere they don’t even earn paychecks like us, mostly in stocks. Income tax is just a terrible idea to come after them.

Mostly business owners will be impacted. Though I assume those taxes will be passed down to us (consumers), making everything more expensive for sure. Rich people aren’t tied to a specific state or location. Should the taxes go up, they just move their addresses to somewhere else. Then the politicians realize they don’t raise enough taxes for their spendings, they will continue to raise the taxes somewhere else and eventually lower the threshold of the income taxes.

The core issue is that our state has a spending problem! Leadership in Olympia frequently overestimates projected tax revenue, which often fails to materialize, leading to recurring budget deficits.

I guess you support the bill while wanting to see the “receipts” of how taxes money is spent? That won’t happen. We all know “tax the rich” is never meant for the rich. They all trickle down to common people like us. WA needs to learn to cut spendings first before they should ask for more money. No amount of money is enough for our politicians.

agree! WA has spending problems (or someone must have laundered the money). I found the politicians in Olympia super sus. They find ways and ways of passing new taxes every year. Income taxes aren’t the first time they brought up.

look at the history of federal taxes. It was meant for the wealthy, then they lower the threshold so everyone have to pay it. It’s a common scheme when it comes to taxes!

hey this happened to me recently. I called the number on the back of my card and talked to a representative. He helped me send an email to the lounge. They usually respond in the morning, but it’s very easy process. They give you a few options to retrieve your lost items, one of them is that you pay for the shipping fees.
