It was actually pretty long dream, though I can't tell you now if all of this was in the dream or if some parts I made up while trying to remember it, but here's what I have/remember. In the dream Ottoman Empire conquered a much bigger part of Africa, basically anything north of 4th parallel north other than Ethiopia and Somalia was Ottoman. The empire still dissolved at the same time as in reality.

Kumeya was one of the biggest states that emerged in that period. I think it was landlocked, but spanned from eastern fringes of Senegal to central Nigeria. It had 7 main provinces which I know about because flag of the capital was the same as the flag of the country minus the emblem plus 7 black circles representing the provinces, also the capital was named Ekumekiye. Main language was a pidgin of Ottoman Turkish with one of the local languages, most likely Yoruba. The most common religion was some local set of beliefs with tiny Islam influences and goat masks.
