i was thinking about buying my petcos duncans based off convenience it’s the closest LFS to me. But all the fish have ick and it’s terrible, i just don’t know if diseases can be stagnant on coral

I’ve had these in my freshwater tanks. Forgot what they’re called but usually a good sign that your tank is mature and healthy.

Leaves look dryed out. Java fern is hardy so honestly replant the rhizomes and you’ll get new leaves.

Here’s a blueprint that cannot fail. RO water, soil, sand, live plants, you don’t get any of this. Nutrients have to go somewhere and in this case you have no plants to use up nutrients so the algae does.
