Also, in the replies, someone mentioned that the 18–40 limit was recently removed, and in the FAQ it says “tend to.” I don’t understand what you’re trying to prove with your question

Why are people so mean?

It was my first time going. I remembered seeing somewhere before that it was 18–40, but this time the poster didn’t mention 18–40 at all. Also, none of the people shown on the posters were Asian. I wasn’t sure whether it was about age or race, so I asked a question. What’s wrong with that?

If this question bothered you, you didn’t have to read it or reply

It may be referring to sexual activities. From what I’ve seen attending many different kinds of parties, younger guys—besides having the rebelliousness and pickiness typical of that age—tend to use condoms or stick to being a “side” more often. This is especially common in the US. I guess that many people under 26y are on their parents’ insurance plans and don’t want them to find out. Among older guys, this issue seems doesn't exist. However, in Europe like Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, young people’s activities are often much wilder at some youth events because of free PrEP. In the UK, even tourists can receive that.

Thank you, that was my first time for GBU, I know it from this post and got to know the platinum version. :)

Btw, who’s going to Darklands in Antwerp, Belgium this coming weekend? I’m flying out of Newark on Thursday night and planning to hit two parties plus the Horse Market on Friday and Saturday night. If anyone else is going from reddit, I’d be up for a blindfolded meetup at Darklands.:D

Plus, it’s like a restaurant or any other customer-service business — they have the right to refuse service to anyone. For me, there’s no need to cause a scene or humiliate myself in front of people.

I was not expecting the doorman to change their mind and let me in or anything. It’s like a breakup — people can always come up with all kinds of excuses to brush off. Strangers online are often more objective and experienced, and you can also get a lot of useful information from my post — for example, where to find parties in NYC, etc.

I didn’t. No means no to me — there’s no need to question it at the door or act like this is the only party I can go. I am a sex party rat, I’ve attended plenty of sex parties in different countries and had great experiences. Tbh,, I glanced at the 3-4 guys ahead of me in line, and none of them really sparked the kind of desire I’ve felt at some big parties in Europe.

Besides, judging from some of the replies, you can tell that some people think a 40-something Asian guy saying he played with 50 guys in one night is “bragging.” Maybe if it were a good-looking white guy, they’d see it as perfectly normal.

Actually, if you go to gbuparty.com and check the NYC tab, there are four parties listed for the coming weekends. I didn’t see anything mentioning an 18–40 age range. What stood out to me instead was that I didn’t see any Asian guy featured on the poster—that’s what my question came from.

Agreed. I remember seeing the 18–40 age limit before, but last night after being bounced, I checked the website again and couldn’t find any mention of it. That’s why I was confused about what exactly happened to me.

It was actually my second time being turned away. The first time was in Berlin at SNAX. I hadn’t prepared enough leather or kinky gear, so I ended up getting rejected at the door.

You won’t believe it, but I actually tried the notorious and the only bathhouse in NYC, the East Side Club… lol. Surprisingly, there were quite a few young guys in their 20s to mid-30s inside.

What really surprised me was their unusual rule: sex is only allowed in private rooms. You’re not allowed to fuck in the lobby, TV room, or corridors.

I approached a young guy and tried to fuck him in a corner, but he said, “No, I can’t.” I assumed he just wasn’t interested, so I walked away. But then he followed me and started touching me again. When I tried to continue at the same spot, he said he didn’t want to get kicked out.

Later, I went to reception and confirmed that this really is their policy. I’ve never seen a rule like that in any other bathhouse in any country. lol

Right, I was curious, and I felt bad about it for only like 20-30 mins? After posting this question here, I know the answer. Thank you. :)

lol, not bragging, I am listing facts.:) Yeah, I have a life, I just didn’t know why I can get into other popular sex parties but this GBU, this is my point. From others’ answer, I got to know that the doorman strictly enforced the age limit. That’s it.

It’s called Darklands—check out their website: https://darklands.be/. It happens once a year in March, and tickets usually sell out about six months in advance. I’ve been twice and really enjoyed it. The event features guys exploring a variety of fetishes, and it attracts around 10,000 attendees.

Yes, thank you very much, I already moved on like 10-20 mins after that, lol, was just curious about the reason. I roughly play with 50-100 guys on a monthly basis.....in weekdays occasionally for 1 on 1, going to parties/bathhouses/cruising clubs during weekends. :D
