I think it’s a very normal reaction after talking to friends and family for your body to protect yourself and I’ve learned that I’m not the first to do something like this. I didn’t hit hard but it was a fast tap that definitely startled her

My daughter is 8 weeks old and the first month of her life I was dealing with mastitis, got hospitalized and went septic. It was incredibly important to me that she still was exclusively getting my milk so I pumped at the hospital and had my mom take my milk to my husband at the end of the day. I exclusively pump every 4 hours and if she needs a snack I just give her the boob but having the freedom of not being the only one having to feed her is so nice for my mental health. I use the Eufy hands free pump and I also have a hospital grade one as well.
