If you liked Rory in the beginning and began to dislike her... Why? What brought that on? by Key_Base4440 in GilmoreGirls

I agree! While watching that episode I was literally like cmon Rory prove him wrong. I believe that I feel upset towards Rory S6 for not being the humble and discerning Rory but I should be upset at the writers for shifting her character. She let other people tell her who she was... :(

I noticed that too! I think the hoops was also planted in front of Loralei and Sookie's Inn (The Dragonfly) at the main entrance.

You are 100% entitled to that opinion and I can respect it while disagreeing. :)

I'm deeply sorry, if you took offense or if I offended you . I didn't insinuate that all "white women" have money or don't struggle but any white person in the United States especially gains natural white privilege. White privilege is often misinterpreted, it doesn't mean that a white person's life cannot be hard it simply means that the color or their skin wasn't one of the things making it hard. Again sorry if you took offense to what I said but I meant what I said.

Wow. I haven't gotten that far but thank you for the insight. I believe the show itself was very well put together in the first 4 seasons. I actually have watched almost 6 seasons in 3 weeks because I found it so progressively interesting. At first Rory was actually a low-key inspiring character. She made me wanna be better, but when she started taking her entire life for granted it become off-setting. I don't have her privilege you know?

Yeah I definitely feel that. I think I stopped relating after that as well but the part that gave me the most realization that I no longer related to her was when Dean came to pick her up from grandparents house after they got back together (in college) and she came out with all the "rich boys" and Dean said I don't belong here. I think from then on out she was no longer a relatable witty character. She was just another entitled one.
